Brandon Marshall breaks single-game catch record in loss
Brandon Marshall nearly broke the NFL's single-game catch record last season against San Diego. That day, Marshall had to settle for a team-record 18 receptions. He didn't stop short today. Marshall caught 21 passes, good for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Broncos fell short in Indianapolis 28-16.
The record, while one to be proud of, rings a bit hollow because of the loss; but it is impressive nonetheless. Marshall now has 86 catches for 1,008 yards and 9 touchdowns on the season.

WOOOO HELL YEAH GO MARSHALL!!
but we lost so it means nothing…..
Congrats Brandon!!!! I'm sure he'd rather have broken it under different circumstances, but it is still impressive.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
Girl, you don't need to be a 10, as long as you have a good smile and smell like bacon.
heck yes it is impressive...its something we will remember forever.
bummer about the game but that is an impressive performance.

Man...
He just MIGHT get his 100 catches this year.
Well, the Broncos beat themselves today but at least we know this team can theoretically hang with anyone in the league. We’ve got a ways to go before this team is a serious contender but they’re at least facing in the right direction.
Three games left, all winnable. The only thing keeping the Broncos out of the playoffs will be the Broncos.

He might get 100 in a game..............

No, No

Not.

Congratulations
That’s a hell of a record to break. Too bad it happened during garbage time (ie a hopeless 4th and 16).
Alright Caldwell, time to rest the starters…the team is starting to look like a triage center.
Back on pace for 100 catches.
Verbose in style, dispersion of thought, procrastination in life.

And also, Orton will allways be mentioned as the QB that threw for the record.
- Eschew Obfuscation -
That's kind of a stretch...
most people on the street wouldn’t know whether the QB who threw TO 20 receptions was Young, Garcia, or neither.
In other words
give the QB respect…but it’s the WR who earned that record with his blood, sweat, and effort.

seemed to work pretty well
when he got that pick
Because Montana has no professional sports, I gotta support the land of my birth.

^Needs further explaining: I have yet to post anything on WCG, don't worry, I'm not trying to rationalize anything I've done. I've just lurked over there and man, they are the model of post-peloponnesian war Athens.
Jennings is like that
20 awful plays then will flash the talent that made him a 2nd round pick.
the most disgusting thing about his day he spent most of the day on the guy with 21 receptions, he had 1.5 tackles. Not only was he not covering, he wasn’t cleaning up his mistakes either.

Great game Broncos fans
Seriously, impressive team you have. Would not be surprised to see your team again in the playoffs.
Jaguars lost. So, this loss doesn’t hurt your playoff push too much.
Oh, and yeah… Marshall can catch the football.

Thanks BBS....we are pretty happy regardless of losing today.
Issues today were head coaching and 3 average performances by players…..thats about it.
Good luck for the rest of the season!
Those that cant coach, compete!
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
All I want is 53 Rod Smiths. Is that asking too much????

GREAT game Brandon!!
Sadly, the calls on third down early in the game killed us, but you did everything in your poer to keep us in it!
Well done my friend!

PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY HES EARNED IT
Losing him to another team would be tragic and i would be pissed
Mile High Salute
Great fro Marshall to get this record
Over Stampedeblue every catch made us sweat , now bend but not break defense save us , holding the ground on redzone and preventing the big play, it was an ugly looking but successful game plan by the Colts, congrats and thanks for the 41 points on my Fantasy Team..
mhr radio tonight?

ok rodney harrison is retarded
1st we are a good team, not a above average team
2nd we didn’t spend all the money over the offseason on the secondary, just to go against the colts
3rd you are stupid stop speaking
He said that he "always thought denver was just above average".
Not “sometimes” or “early in the season”
Always.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

I'm not disagreeing with you. It's very very biased to openly admit that he has "always" thought a certain thing about any team.

yeah i'm not trying to slash at you
it just makes me angry when someone like that (harrison) says something they can’t back
Yeah, I agree.

Harrison still uses "we" when talking about the Pats
and nearly cried on air after the Colts beat the Pats on SNF

Harrison is on record as saying
he had really hoped to play for Denver under Shanahan when he left SD, and Shanahan had mutual interest, but I believe the presence of John Lynch made it a non issue. He’s done okay with NE, methinks.
And I don’t care what he thinks about this year’s team at all. It’s irrelevant what anyone thinks about the Broncos this year, outside of that locker room. As it should be.
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.
