Open Thread Thursday Night: Colts/Jags

Well, that time is upon us once again, friends. A special thursday night football game. Oh, the wonders of december football. Tonight is the Colts versus the Jaguars. This matchup could certainly have playoff implications that involve the broncos. The Jags are currently fighting for a wildcard birth. A loss tonight against the colts would hurt their chances of the playoffs while increasing the odds of the broncos making it in. Of course, we would all like the broncos to win three games and get in by their own merit, but there is no harm in making absolutely sure that they make it into the postseason.

If you are a fan of history, you might consider rooting for the colts as they try and make their way closer to an undefeated season. If you want to see the colts crumble, cheer on the jags and hope the broncos win out so that this game doesn't matter. Either way, this should be a close game. Last time the Jags and colts faced off, the jags lost by 2 points. They had the ball with 11 minutes left in the game inside the colts redzone. Instead of kicking the field goal, they went for it on fourth down and did not come up with the required yardage.

The Jags have a great chance of taking down the colts and we'll see how it plays out. So, use this thread for your comments. Feel free to share your opinions about the game. Trends, interesting stats, key matchups, you name it. Enjoy your football game, everybody.
