KC game and the retiring of DTs #58
This game with KC is becoming more and more of a trap game. We have always had problems playing in KC no matter how good or bad they seem to be. Add in the emotion of retiring the number of greatest player in the history of the franchise and this is getting to be a scary situation. I'm hoping McDaniels has the boys ready to go. If the team that played the first 6 games or the Giants shows up we should be well on our way to a 10-6 or 11-5 finish. On a side note it is about time the Chiefs honor #58 and it was a damn shame it took him as long as it did to make the HOF. R.I.P DT always loved watching you play!

I don't think it's a trap
I think everyone knows how tough this team is at home in December.
This game is by no means a sure thing. It’s going to be a tough one.
DT #58 RIP
Two issues tend to make it somewhat of a trap
Most obvious is they are not a very good team in record or stats – but being a divisional opponant that has a history of beating us in their stadium negates that one. The other issue is Indy looming on the horizon. If the coaches or players alow themselves to look past this game towards the big match up then we will have real problems. In terms of play off potential every remaining game has implications so hopefully that will not be a problem. In the hunt for the west championship the first tie breaker is divisional record – if we lose any divisional games we surrender that one to the Chargers and must then have a better record to claim the crown – a tall order already being one game behind.
Agreed with Flunkie above
But where I disagree is that while Derrick Thomas was a really good player whose life was cut tragically short, I don’t consider him to be the greatest player in the history of the franchise. I’m sure I’m showing my age here, but there are a number of players from the Hank Stram, Len Dawson, Otis Taylor era that I would rate above DT (RIP).
Go Broncs!
It's "just" football
He was definitely the best since the old AFL glory days though...

"The way this works is you string together some good games, some good practices and you get momentum and you gain confidence," linebacker Mike Vrabel said. "It can be a real positive for your team. It builds on itself."
All I know is that I can't wait for this one to be over...
…there is rarely anything fun and entertaining about playing in KC. If I could peek through my fingers for 3 1/2 hours, I probably would.

You are right
The guys should be pumped for this one so if I am a Broncos fan I would be hoping they arent looking past them. The crowd will even be pumped(that shows up) . There is a memo out asking any fans that come please wear a DT jersey if you have one should be great fun and a good game
I always had tremendous respect for Derrick Thomas.
His life ended way too soon and being paralyzed the last months of his life was a tremendous irony for such a gifted athlete.
