This loss was absolutely awful, but there are a couple of positives we might take from it.
As if they needed any help, Raiders fans will no doubt interpret this win as a sign that Oakland is a team on the rise and on the cusp of a Super Bowl run. This will make their annual ride to the NFL basement all the more enjoyable.
Also, Jamarcus Russel's inexplicable clutch performance may prompt the Raiders to keep him, continuing to set their team back.
Face it, folks; there are a lot of good teams in the NFL this year, and the Broncos aren't one of them. Maybe we should be relieved that we're being spared an embarrassing playoff loss.
It's possible that an improved position in the later rounds of the draft may help the team plug their gaping holes in the middle of their offensive and defensive lines.
You know, now that I think about it... I really would have preferred a win.
