Barcelona is a great town
I spent a total of about a month there in my Navy days, including New Year 2000. I hope y’all have a great trip.

That's an excellent get away.
Chibronx and Mrs. Chibronx went to New Glarus, Wisconsin for our first anniversary. Your idea is better.
Congratumalations Doug!!!
Thanks for all your hard work and give our best to the missus!
Unless of course you haven’t told her about us! ; )
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.

I'll miss you
But somehow I will survive. Thanks for this, I really love NFL films.
Have fun in Spain NYC.
What an amazing game last night! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. TO was playing his heart out and the Jets look like a team destined for playoff glory.
Or maybe the game last night was the most boring NFL football contest I’ve ever watched. TO didn’t even pretend to show ANY effort. There is no fight in that dog and he claimed sole status of biggest TOOL in the league with such a dreadful showing. Thank goodness that guy never wore a Bronco uniform.

lol
TO did show some fight while he was moaning on the sidelines, presumably about not getting the ball enough. I can’t believe he actually wears those diamond earrings during games. What happens when you lose one? Prima donna.
Buffalo infuriated me by refusing to run the ball. The game was very close until the beginning of the fourth quarter when it became an apparently “unmanageable” nine point game. The Bills were gaining 5.1 per carry, yet refused to run the ball, and refused specifically to give it to Lynch who was clearly having a much better night than Jackson. I did not see one good run by Jackson, he was constantly dancing around and getting himself tackled for no gain when he finally decided to prance into the hole.
Marshawn Lynch dragged a man into the endzone at the end of a fifteen yard run. When someone does that you feed him the ball until he gets stopped. Even at the beginning of the fourth quarter, they still had plenty of time to score a TD and FG while running the ball, but they did not and ended up punting real quick. What, was the Fitzpatrick Train just looking too good to pass up? (9/23 for 98 yards)
The Jets starting QB (however mediocre he was playing) goes down and they switch to a run only gameplan. How Buffalo could not take advantage of this is beyond me.

You should have watched Oregon play Oregon State
for the right to go to the Rose Bowl. Great game with the lead shifting several times and finally ending with the best team winning. Go Ducks :)
Thanks Doug
Enjoy Spain and Happy Anniversary to you and your wife.

NYC – you need to practice your lisp if you’re headed to Barcelona. I’ve never heard such a ridiculous accent as the one those Catalans speak Spanish with.
Muchos Gracth-ith.
This is my favorite website.
That’s all Spaniards, not just the Catalans. And they’re just as likely to give you the finger (or the local equivalent) for speaking Spanish. Not only are they crazy nationalists, they’re convinced that nobody from the U.S. understands that they’re nationalists. To make up for this, they just scream louder. So, so many annoying conversations.
It's just the way they talk.
People say the same thing about Italians and Portuguese with the way they use their hands. It looks like they’re being aggressive with each other, when that’s actually how that culture communicates.

I had a Spanish professor...
…who went on and on and on about how lucky we were to be learning the Catalan dialect. I was so honored I got a C.
by PredominantlyOrange on Dec 4, 2009 9:24 AM MST up reply actions
That's very rude of you.
I speak with that accent when I speak Spanish and so does my mom.
There is only One Moment—this moment—the Eternal Moment of Now
For what its worth...
…the C had nothing to do with the Catalan dialect. I was more hung up on the whole conjugating thing, how to innately know feminine v. masculine, and the fact that I was a too often hung-over freshman who had a hard time discerning anything about nuance at that point.

DPP Headline: Klis Rehashes History!!!!
As usual, the DPP Bronco site shows itself to be the anti-MHR.
I read the Klis article (and basically flushed several precious minutes of my coffee break). Nothing new, nothing that we already hadn’t known and/or guessed. The most ground-breaking news in the entire article was the quote from Cassell stating he hadn’t heard about the Denver rumors until after the fact, which of course isn’t surprising since trades occur in the executive suites and players rarely know about the discussions unless they have a no-trade clause in their contract.
Even though the article had less content than a USA Today article, I browsed the comments section (since I am amused by the cognitive dissonance shown by the average DPP-member). The gem today: a rant against McDaniels’ talent evaluation skills that uses his choice of Orton over Quinn and Campbell when trading Cutler. Aside from the fact that the Cleveland Browns and Potomac Racist_nicknames were only mentioned by the press as potential trade partners, and we never saw what the teams were offering — for all we know the Browns offered a Quinn and a handful of magic beans — the sheer ignorance of preferring either Quinn or Campbell to Orton is staggering.
My take: Quinn might have a chance of resurrecting his career if Cleveland trades him, but Orton is the superior QB. Campbell is at best a career backup. Further, neither Quinn nor Campbell show the type of discipline to fit into the controlled passing system. Finally, in my opinion Campbell is a coach-killer QB who shows just enough talent to look good, but makes bad decisions that make the coach look bad (and for the record, I think Cutler is also a coach-killer, but that’s a post for another day).
I hope they rest BDawk this week and give McBath the nod.
It’s time the kid get’s his feet wet and no better time than this Sunday in KC. I would hate to see BDawk reinjure or make a healing ankle worse by playing. We will need him at Indy next week in a very important game. I really think we can handle both teams if they play within themselves and try not to do too much on their own.
Coming home to face the raiders in week 15 with a 9-4 record would be sweet. I see 2 or 3 loses for the chargers in the last 5 games of the season. Our team needs to win and win now.
as long as he stays on the sidelines to be the motivator he is
then I agree – sit him for KC if the extra rest will help keep him in it the rest of the games.

Speaking of which, injury update from the Denver Post via Twitter
PostBroncos
Dawkins listed as questionable for Sunday at KC. All other players (inc R. Harris) are probable.
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants country, and damned proud of it.
I'm really excited that Harris
is going to play. Huge boost for their OL.
Worried about not having Dawkins in there but they at least have some good young depth at safety.
