John and Friends Predict....Week 13 in the NFL
Happy belated birthday, Mdierk!!
John and various members of the staff here are once again competing in the annual MHR Pick'em challenge. You will notice the Denver Broncos game is not included. We'll just say everyone roots for the Broncos each week! Guru's wife is a Patriots fan, so her pick will be of the Broncos game. Just so homerism doesn't affect the outcome again this year.

I like
Steve’s pix. Good Luck all.
Go Broncos!

Upset of the week
Brown over the Chiefs – gut feeling and a lot of wishful thinking. SD gets caught napping
You had me there for a moment??? [Brown over the Chiefs]
That would be sweet so we could get back into the race.
That was my upset special as well
I could easily see the Dolts overlooking the Browns. I also read the Dolts are resting starters for this game. WTF? Like they have anything wrapped up? Overconfident, over cocky Dolts. I hope Cleveland takes it to them.

Interesting.
So Tim and Ted both have the Titans knocking off the colts. I think that might happen, but I don’t know if we should be rooting for that or not.
Would it be better if they were still undefeated when we play them? The Broncos could rally around the “TAKE IT” mantra that they’ve used all season, especially if the colts are still all hyped up, being undefeated and all. The colts, on the other hand, may be overconfident, allowing the broncos to be a bit of a trap game for them.
Granted, Peyton Manning is the king of preparation. He won’t take a team lightly because he is looking to put up as many points as possible, regardless of the opponent. If he could prepare to score 90 points in a game, he would. However, the rest of the offense and the defense might get caught up in the 16-0 talk, instead of focusing on the broncos.
Now, again, I’m not so sure that it would have a major effect on the broncos/colts game but every little distraction could matter on colts week.
What does anyone else think? Would you rather play a 12-0 team or an 11-1 team next week? Or does it even matter?
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
I don't think it matters
In my opinion, the Colts have secured themselves a playoff spot, are 4-0 in their division, and with the exception of P. Manning, I think they’re getting into cruise control now. As always, I believe they are trying to stay as healthy as they can for a deep playoff run.
That’s the main reason I believe we have a decent chance of winning next week. I say decent because it’s in Indy and they’re a dome team, with the home crowd cheering.

That's true, but they still are fighting for home field advantage.
For a little while, anyways.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
Ravens - Packers
The prediction here ought to flip. I give the edge to the Ravens in that game, as they are a more physical team.

I agree
That was a tough game to pick but for me it came down to Bal’s D-Line vs the Packers O Line. Yikes. I had to pick the Ravens.
