A Feeling of Ease

For the first time in a long time this past Sunday, I felt something while watching the Broncos dismantle the Chiefs.  I felt the Broncos were in complete control and for the first time I can remember, I felt calm and even relaxed during the entire game.  Sure there were a couple of anxious moments, namely during the 20 play drive the Chiefs put together. But in the whole, I felt the outcome was never in question.

This team has been an interesting tale in 2009.  A lot of good, a month of bad and moments of ugly for sure.  8-4 after 12 weeks is a record I think most Bronco fans would have taken without question in July and August.

Now we prepare to measure ourselves against the gold standard in my opinion.  The Colts are not without flaws, but #18 does not need a lot of opportunity to win and this will give us a chance to make a statement to the rest of the AFC. Win or lose, I think the boys from Denver have a great chance at the playoffs and that is a tremendous accomplishment.

I feel great about where we are and what is yet to come this season.  So rally your fandom for the home stretch and keep all of the great opinions and analysis coming.  Like Buck signalling to the sideline on Sunday after another double-digit gain, I love to eat up the great stuff at MHR.

Go Broncos and Blessings to you all.  Yours in fandom always.
