Right tackle Ryan Harris will not play again this season for the Broncos.
Harris dislocated his big toe on his right foot Nov. 1 at Baltimore and re-injured it in the first quarter of Sunday’s game at Kansas City, his first game back in the lineup.
Harris visited a sports medicine specialist in Vail on Tuesday and was told he would not be able to play again this season, even if the Broncos make the playoffs.

Well this sucks...
I take it Ronnie Lott isn’t on the medical staff or Harris would have been short a little piggy this Sunday. Heal up, Ryan and we’ll see you next year!

HAHAHAHAHA
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
Girl, you don't need to be a 10, as long as you have a good smile and smell like bacon.
Damn that hurts!
Never pay attention to those little things until they do hurt. We seriously could use a healthy Harris, seeing that is not a possibility ….. heal up soon and see ya next year as we defend our SB championship!
Big loss but I'd already kinda braced myself for this
and Polumbus has been playing better at least and we survived a big chunk of the season without him…
Still, it sucks. Just hope he’s okay for next year. And that the Broncos find someone decent as depth for this season.
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants country, and damned proud of it.
Injuries = part of the game. We’ve been lucky this season compared to the last few. However, the last few years were terrible from an injury standpoint so I guess that is not saying much.
See you next season Harris. This injury should not take more than 2 months to fully heal.
This is my favorite website.
?????
No offense meant, but I don’t know where you get this. Generally, this injury takes 1-2 years to heal fully. We can hope he heals faster and comes back next season, but he may have some reduced usage even then. It took Antonio Gates two seasons to recover from a similar injury.

Seriously?
That REALLY sucks. The big toe is all-important for any linemen. How many times are they putting all their weight, plus someone else’s, on that single digit? This could be trouble for Mr. Harris.
Hang on folks, road's a little bumpy in these spots.
*sigh*
I was afraid this would happen. I had a bad feeling he was coming back too soon, and against the Chiefs, it was unnecessary.
Oh well, heal up big fella. Your post will be right where you left it.

Well, crap.
But, this gives the other guys in the rotation the chance to step up, learn a thing or two and improve.
And when Ryan gets back hopefully the team will be the better for it.
But still…crap.
Don't argue with fools. It's how they reproduce.
Heal up Ryan

I'll probably catch hell for this
but I’m curious as to how it all works. CombatChuk posted this news as a Fanpost some five hours before this one appeared if the timestamps are to be believed. The staff member post adds nothing new and I don’t understand why the original post wasn’t given the center column prominence under the circumstances. I know this come across as pretty snarky, and I certainly appreciate the fine job that the staff does here and that we’re not trying to play the “can you break this first” game that goes on between Schefter, King, Mort, et al., but this isn’t first time I’ve noticed this – an no, CombatChuk is not my little brother..
As to the news itself, this is really pretty bad. While I think Polumbus has made some strides, I don’t think it’s any coincidence that our wins and losses and particularly our success on offense coincides with Harris being in the lineup. Every defensive coordinator now has a game-planning weakness to exploit and I’ve little doubt we’ll see it exploited. I’m sure McD will be clever enough to try work work around it, but it’s got to make the playbook a little thinner.
Go Broncs!
It's "just" football
Yep Donkhead, would be nice to at least acknowledge Combat Chuch for first breaking the news on MHR. It happens a fair bit , and I am sure no offense intended but credit where credit is due and all that!

That was something wrong on my end Donkhead
and I would have been happy (would have preferred actually) to promote CombatChuk’s announcement. I did check the fanshots and fanposts and was surprised that no one had posted something about it yet, and the first place I saw it mentioned was a comment in another thread by underdog.
It looks like I just missed it when I was scanning. Apologies to all, no offense intended.

Vail for the Dr.???
We have 2.5 million people in the Denver metro area and we have thousands of Doctors and he has to go to Vail to get his Toe looked at?
LOL I know the guy up there is probably the best and don’t want to be too far from the slopes but VAIL? I just think that is funny.
We we send people to Aspen for eye problems? ;)
That's where they always go.
If you were a first-rate specialist in sports injuries, there’d be worse places to set up shop than Vail.
Hang on folks, road's a little bumpy in these spots.
It's the Steadman-Hawkins clinic
It’s one of the finest orthopedic clinics in the country – I’ve used it myself. Athletes fly in from all over the country to be seen there.
Why Vail? Well, because it’s incredibly beautiful, mostly. I had a clinic just over the pass in Summit County for the same reason.

That's what I thought
I thought I remembered Steadman, but then I thought, “no, that’s Oprah’s guy.”
Hang on folks, road's a little bumpy in these spots.
Really, it's because
they have a really nice golf course. You know, Dr.’s and their Tuesday tee times. =)
