Wow. I was wondering why stories were not being written as frequently as they were on the DP.
That’s too bad…I always like the RMN over the DP.
Is there such a thing as a Playstation 3 Anonymous? I can't seem to stop thinking about or playing COD 4 and COD 5. I hear this is quite normal for a teenager, but I haven't been a teenager since Bill Clinton was frolicking with interns.
All it means is MHR will have to lead the way in Broncos news.....
i would have preferred that the Post go belly up
fader nation is a conquered nation
Jerry Jones is Al Davis with a smile!
More incentive for the NFL to begin giving bloggers media access to the teams....
It can only help the NFL’s image and prestige.

Guys like Legwold and Rasizer will land on their feet...
They’re solid performers, and quality is usually rewarded. It may even be at the DP, because some fat could definitely be trimmed over there. But again, they’re making buggy whips at these newspapers, when they should be switching to making transmission parts instead.

Bummer
You still can’t beat the beat-writers. While some of the analysis can be mediocre, it’s nice to get straight info from teh guys paid to sit at Dove Valley and cover the Broncos.
Hopefully Legwold and/or Rasizer can catch on at the Post as they always struck me as guys who actually did their jobs and didn’t just mail it in. Or maybe one of them can replace Williamson at ESPN.
aka MN Bronco
Major Bummer...
Though I’d turned to the post for their Bronco coverage (their site was just more user friendly), I will miss the RMN…
My first job when I was 10 years old was as a paper boy for the Rocky Mountain News… toast.

That blows
My family has subscribed to the RMN for as long as I can remember, I can remember morinings in August, sitting in my families dealership in Castle Rock as a kid and spending a good 2 hours reading all the Broncos articles from training camp. I can remember how the sports section used to be bigger than a lot of other actual papers (Albuquerque Journal, Press Democrat, etc..), one of the best good old western Newspapers.

Hmmm....I wonder who will get Denver's Hall of Fame vote.
I assume Legwold will not be keeping his vote right?

I suspect Woody wants it back....

Well that would be something good
If legwold couldn’t even convince the HOF committee that Sharpe was a TE and not a WR, seems like we need someone who understands football and the Broncos history.

As a kid, I loved the RMNews...
…and as a young adult, I subscribed. And when I couldn’t afford a subscription I bought plenty of issues off the rack. But then, several years back, the RMNews decided to abandon all of us who didn’t live in the metro area. They cancelled my subscription. I was so mad I vowed never to buy their paper again, and I haven’t.
Still, even tho I’m a small part of the cause, it is a shame to see them go.
If this be Hell, let us make the most of it!
I never understood why they decided to limit their distribution
To me, the RMN was about Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region in general, the DP was Denver’s paper and if you lived outside of Denver, you usally subscribed to the RMN, I don’t know why they decided to pull their distribution into the Metro area, obviously it cut to the core of the loyal readers who lived outside the area.

No, it was decided by the corporation that owned both the RMN and the DP?

Did the same corporation own both at the time that decision was made?
I agree with Broncoman. DP was the Denver paper and RMN was the Colorado/region paper.

Sad day for all those who worked for the RMN.
They good writers will end up somewhere. I really like the Q&A with Razier during the season. I hope things work out for everyone.

One positive...
Hopefully this means that Bernie Lincicome is gone for good. In my book, he’s an even bigger tool than Fat Bill.

That totally sucks.........
when I lived in Denver I never bought the post, except on sundays when I never could get enough hype befor the game! Good greif! maybe they will find a buyer for the E-net, that will Keep enough of the staff to keep giving US what we need.

Did the rocky clse because the reporting on MHR is better, or because of Craigslist?
It is better to keep silent, and appear to be wise, then to ramble on and remove all doubt! The Wisest Man, Solomon.
MHR and Craigslist are 2 good examples why....
Information is being disseminated and advertising is being done, at no drop-off in quality. The drop-off is in cost, so we’re able to provide NFL coverage that is as good as (or the way I see the world, better,) and it’s costing us much less to produce. Newspapers can’t compete in that environment, which is why they’re all failing. The same thing will start happening to TV and film in the next few years, as the barriers to entry decrease, due to technology. An enterprising young filmmaker will be able to film a quality production, and distribute it via the internet at low cost. Media ownership is a dying concept. The best ideas, and the best content will rule. This is an irreversible tide of history.
