My read
The article states “6 deals in the opening day of free agency”. That translates to 6 total including the 2 rbs. With the money we have though, I wouldn’t be surprised to get 8…just depends on how busy they are and who can make it in to get checked out today.
I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.

Styg
Adam Shefter just said that Brian Dawkins in enroute to Denver. We spoke of this once…. I thought it was awesome to hear due to his ability to break down film and his work ethic. I was hoping this would happen!

Hope it is serious
Dawkins would be a very great pick-up. I’d like him better as the veteran leader than I would Ray Lewis.
Hopefully we aren’t just a bargaining chip he is using on Philly.

Dawkins is my favorite all time safety
from a pure admiration point of view. Atwater is the MAN, and Lynch was a gentleman and a scholar, but Dawkins changed the game.

Seriously
It could be a bargaining chip, but once a person talks face to face with someone putting that money in front of you….Maybe, just maybe…
Now things are heating up to more the speed I like. For anyone who does not know where this is comming from, Adam Shefter just said this on the NFL Network. I do not have a link to it yet, but will post it as soon as I find it.

I picture Arrington as McD's new Kevin Faulk
And everybody knows, I love Kevin Faulk. That dude KILLS opponents in big spots, with screens and nickel runs out of the shotgun.

How cool
How cool would it be to open up Cutlers options even more? I am not that big on these guys as premier backs, but I am all for double threats.
Hoping for things to go as well as possible…

Arrington = Kevin Faulk?
What can Arrington do that Hillis can’t?

Let's don't go there
I’m 62. But let’s ask why Hillis can’t do what Arrington is (hopefully) going to do.

Unlikely at this point
cost too much

I know this might come as a shock to some
but Ryan Torain is made of glass, and what’s so wrong about having a playmaker at FB?
Hillis can still run and catch out of the backfield from the FB position, he doesn’t always have to be lined up at HB. I’d rather have two threats behind Cutler than just one. If you have both a FB and HB that can catch swing passes, it’s going to be awfully hard to defend against.
I welcome both new running backs. After last year, we need all the help we can get at that position.

nice comments
I dont have a problem with Hillis lined up at FB, I ihave a problem with Buck or JJ as a starter. Maybe McXanders wants Hillis at FB I dunno. What I do know is I see us signing two Role Playing Running backs. I didnt see a Franchise guy so dont rule out Moreno.

we haven't
had a feature back in ages. it will more than likely be running back by committee, which seems to be a league wide trend.
i wouldn’t be surprised to see them take a HB in the later draft rounds, but doubt we’re going with Moreno given all the defensive needs and the current offensive pickups

Eagles
Correll Buckhalter is something special – he does nothing but produce when given the touches. Sad to see him go as an Eagles fan as he’ll do great things for you.
This will certainly get lost in the mix if early reports are true that Dawkins has agreed to terms with you guys. Rough to stomach.

Judging by how mad the Eagle fans are...
The Broncos have made a good signing. Definitely like his leadership potential, but I’m worried that the Eagles know he had lost a step and weren’t willing to put up big $$$. Unless we get a better DL, that lost step could be crucial!
