The Buccachieftriot

Matt Cassel has reportedly been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. This, coming after last night one of our own here at MHR reported a trade of Cassel to (one of my favorite cities, and hopefully future home) Tampa Bay. Personally, I want to see him in Bucs garb, and not in red and yellow. The Chiefs report ceoms from the mouth of a god by the name of Adam Schefter, who reports he was apart of the Vrabel trade.

Star-divide

"NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Cassel has been traded to the Chiefs. The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss has confirmed the news, which is part of the trade sending Mike Vrabel to Kansas City. There were rumors Cassel could be involved in a three-team swap, but it appears Kansas City will be his final destination. Compensation has not been announced, but it's safe to say the Tyler Thigpen era is over before it started." —Rotoworld.com

[In other news, the Andra Davis signing looks to be official now...]

im really confused now! lol

i hope he goes to the bucs in the NFC. i dont want the pats to have the 3rd overall pick. but i dont think he was worth the 1st round pick. i think he’s just a product out of the pats system imo

the confusion is exactly why I titled it as such

Living in Florida, I have plenty of Bucs fans who were happy to hear Cassel could be another winking pirate… but now I hear he’s a Chief? Very confusing. However, it seems his era in Missouri has begun, and the short-lived Thigpen era has ended.

My question now is… What does NE get out of this??

since he was franchised, i think the Pats get

the Cheifs 3rd overall pick, and a 2nd rounder next year. not quite sure about the last pick, but i know they get a 1st rounder

Had the Chiefs offered Cassel a contract

and the Pats let him go to KC, then they would owe franchised player compensation. However, if the Pats trade Cassel, the Chiefs only owe whatever the Patriots ask for in the agreed deal.

Which was

pick #34. 2 starters for a 2nd rounder. Gotta love it. Oh……. guess ya don’t.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. HSThompson

This will change the draft

Many had KC using their #3 pick on a QB. With Cassel off the board, I wonder if they will go with Raji in order to implement the 3-4

There were multiple rumors around Tampa last night that Cassel was coming...

I saw it on TBO.com also.
