I just saw that on SportsCenter

Michael Smith says that the Broncos innitiated trade talks. He said that the Broncos tried working a deal with the Vikings (before they got Sage), the Lions, and the Bucs. He also said that McD knows Cassel’s work ethic, his abilities, etc and that he isn’t married to Cutler the way Shanny was.

Freaking Out !!!

This Cutler BS is soooo stressful!!! In the back of mind I thought was going to do this but, never actually thought he would really try. I was driving when I heard the breaking news and yelled Sh*t and the top of lungs. My girlfriend was with me, I totally freaked her out because she wasn’t paying attention to what the radio was saying. My heart can’t take much more of this…. :(

Cutler trade rumors.....just thinking about it is absolutly horrible.

Why would they even dangle him out there and then pull it back. His trust in the organization just took a major hit. First he was upset with Shanny being fired now this. Major damage control by the Broncos.

TSG and MHR,

I’m just a guy on AP (and a KC fan, obviously). I wasn’t able to listen to all of the show, but MHR Radio is a badass feature. This was my first time listening.

This entire situation with Cutler sucks. We are having to adjust to the “way” here and we feel your pain.

I want Cutler to stay in Denver (I can’t believe I typed that). Cutler is a great QB, and I want our teams to be great again to revive the rivalry.

Aside from MHR Radio being an awesome feature, you have a good presence for it. Keep it up. I hate to admit it, but most of the things you said about the Chiefs are fair. We need an Elway V Montana mystique again.

I agree...

I do not want an NFl without the Raiders, Cheifs, or Chargers.

I love the rivalries, and really look forward to the day our division is the strongest in the NFL again. My wife was so into the Cheifs rivalry that she could name many of the players, and that is saying something!

That's a loaded question.

There are those actually calling for McD and Xanders to be fired, and THEIR Broncos haven’t even had a day of PRACTICE together, much less played a game! Come on. The worst part of this is that we are getting this from reporters reporting that other reporters are reporting that an unnamed source… etc., etc., etc. There are no facts. We have conflicting quotes from Jay and Josh. Jay says he thinks he is still on the trading block, Josh and Xanders say that Cutler is staying put.

The “Cutler wants to be traded” stuff is speculation based on 3rd hand anonymous information.

I can say that I long for Shanny’s tight-lipped, cool approach to team decisions. Does anyone recall this kind of chaos before? Other than Elway/Reeves?

Based on purely limited observation, I speculate that McD is a great motivator. He is engaging in person, and he is exciting. But I think he’s flighty and neglects laying a proper foundation of communication with everyone before making rash decisions. I know, he hasn’t MADE a rash decision, but that’s just my gut.

If any of us can sleep tonight, we should do whatever we can, take whatever drugs we need to to get good and rested, and come back tomorrow when the facts have shaken out.

The rumors that were started happened to come from Tampa Bay itself! The guy that leaked this information to the Tampa Bay Tribune, was a janitor at Tampas stadium, and his brother just happens to be a reporter for the Tribune.

That is when all the suppositions,anylizations and “run with it” senarios started! It actually caused our QB, J, To Believe that it was true, at least enough to make a statement to the press! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you all read the response by the Denver Front office, including the statement from Mc D, you may have done what I did on the first take. You may actually have believed the rummers and thought, like I did, that Mc D was trying to cover an attempted trade that he lost. NOT TRUE!

He never intended to make any trade! I Know That From The Fact That If He Was Allowed To Make That Trade, The OK, Would Have To Come From PAT HIMSELF!
