DP - Well in case you missed it, there was a lot of drama at Dove Valley yesterday, as it came to light that Denver discussed the possibility of dealing Jay Cutler as part of potential three-way deals involving the Patriots and Buccaneers or Lions, with Matt Cassel potentially coming to Denver. Cassel ultimately ended up in Kansas City, but the Broncos organization may be dealing with the fallout from this situation for a long time to come. Lindsay Jones writes about what trading Cutler would mean.
Y! - Charles Robinson discusses the Cutler issue along with his winners and losers from Day 2 of free agency.

NFLN - The guys over at the Network break down the Dawkins signing.

NFL - St. Louis made former Raven Jason Brown the highest-paid center in the league.
NFL - Former Falcons LB Michael Boley signed with the Giants. Former Seahawks DT Rocky Bernard has also agreed to terms with the G-Men.

The Lions are expected to keep a “very close eye” on the Jay Cutler situation in Denver.
The Broncos adamantly denied wanting to trade Cutler Saturday, but Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski thinks he can still be had. Detroit has two first-round picks to offer, but with no QB chips it’ll be a tough sell. Still, Cutler could go back on the block if the Broncos deem the situation irreparable.
Good
Maybe that will distract them long enough for them to blow both of their picks so #1 on our board falls to us.

McD-head this is not the PATS
As for our new head coach…you (profanity) what are you doing here…this is not the patriots..it is the Denver Broncos…you should have been upfront and told Cutler first before the press got wind of it you dip(profanity) this is the real world out here in Bronco Country and real men are out here and we try and act accordingly. IF you don’t have the constitution or the man equipment prerequisite you need to pack your fairy-tail self up and move out. HONESTY would be a nice trait. IF I were your boss and I found out about this you would shortly be unemployed. You are supposed to lead and unite a team not play spy games and destroy it you immature twerp. Denver fan base is not the PATs fan base. We feel as if we stand out here to slay the bad guys and bring defeat to our opponents and send them home feeling like they were defeated mentally and physically not our own franchise players you jerk. We don’t have a roof on our stadium either…you know why…tradition. Fans here don’t care if we never host a superbowl….you know why tradition. In case you didn’t notice…we play REAL MANS FOOTBALL out here in the rain, the snow, the freezing cold and under the blistering sun all with out a roof and no one complains.
We have GREAT QB ability in Jay. He needs to be settled so he can lead OUR (the fans) TEAM. If you are to immature to work with the man and would rather have a HS kid to push around on then go coach at KC.
lol
Posts like these are too funny (and belong more at Orangemane or Broncomania than MHR), without knowing the full situation, you pop off at everyone and everything. Thanks for the laughs.
Owning the Patriots since September 9, 1960
Obviously not a real man
I bet you want a nice cushy warm seat and a roof over your head at the mile high stadium too. Because slow guys like you when you miss the point because your near sighted glasses fell off and now you’re blind you “lol” because you’re to lazy to type.
This fiasco is pretty sad really. Free agency now looks like a circus of coaches humping a football, instead of a well oiled machine. Look at all the current contract closings to “seal the deal” now that the dirty laundry is in the wind. I doubt Ward will deal here and it is apparent that he has no intentions of being here so we have to grab a washed up 2nd string back. And were still looking at trading away one of the best young QB’s to come into the game in the last 10 years. As for Mc Dunce (is he really 32 or more like Tom Hanks in BIG a kid that morphed into a mans body?) Has been looking at QB’s that are pretty much pushovers and easily manipulated who are definitely suspect in abilities such as leadership, arm strength, accuracy, and decision making. I mean if he wants a Gus forotte then he should go sign him.
Now Smart Guy (Darin H)…when Cutler asked to leave in January after all the firings 2 of which happen to be the most important to any QB, head coach and QB coach…and no new QB coach in the wings you think you would be stable? I doubt it. Also bright guy…this type of sneaky underhanded action sends a shock wave through the team locker room, implicating that NO ONE on the team is sacred. Now you have a bunch of nervous football players who will try out of fear and that ever so sacred message of " There is no I in team" becomes mute. It also affects the fan base you know what fan base is? That’s called revenue. And right now Boo-len is acting like some idiot going through a mid-life crisis after firing Mike. I can’t imagine Those two idiots Daniels and Xanders doing something like that without Boo-len knowing. And to go and not publicly air out the situation about the talks with the Browns…yeah I did know about that thus the comment about the spy games and HONESTY…the fo office needs to shut up and pucker up and kiss some serious butt. I can tell you know McD doesn’t have much credibility now and will more than likely never gain it back will not be whats needed to sooth the fans or Cutler and the Team.
