McDaniels talks about the trade ....
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_11810112
"He's not the only person in the last few days we've received calls on," McDaniels said. "We've received trade calls on a number of players, which is not uncommon this time of the year. I also think the sensitivity of the other trade that was occurring, with my relationship with New England and the whole Cassel thing, I think that stirred the pot even more."
And then McDaniels made a point of emphasis: "We don't want to trade Jay. We never did. He's our quarterback. We're excited about this season. And excited about what we're doing here in free agency to improve our team."

I’m going to go do other things.

I'm pretty sure you already are (around these parts anyway). ;-)

After taking it all in heres my opinion in a nutshell....
1/ McD, Xanders and Bowlen have handled the whole thing badly. I would have liked to have seen some statement by now.
2/ I have SEVERE doubts about Jay in regards to decision making and professionalism. Look, totally understandable to be pissed, but a what about a statement like this: “I am disappointed about the trade rumors but I will speak with Josh, Brian and Pat to get the whole story” Jay needs to grow up in a hurry or they will trade him. I hope he does….Cassel cant shine his jock strap but if he is going to be a cancer to the team concept he needs to go!
Thats about it!

Good enough for me
Agreed that Jay needs to show some self control and maturity here. No NFL player is immune to the business side of things- every team has a price and every player has a value. It would be prudent for McD and Xman to consider all possibilities, and in the end they made the right choice- keep JC. This story was blown WAY out of proportion, and Jay did nothing to help his own situation by firing off his mouth the way he did yesterday. He’s talented and intelligent, but he’s showing his lack of maturity and on his way to being tagged as a selfish, arrogant punk. Want some cheese with that whine, Jay?

A Strong Dose of Reality
Cutler, for all that he brings to the table. ( Talent ! Strong Arm! )
He will some day look back and realize that he may have needed this.
A real dose of REALITY!! He should grow up from here out!!

Again, lets point to the logic
Why would a team call unless they knew Cutler might be available, they aren’t calling Pittsburgh for Rothesburger or Atlanta for Ryan, this whole BS of I took a call is ridiculus. If that was the case then every team that needed a QB would be calling every team with a QB to see if he was available, teams would not waste their time unless they knew he was available, nice try at a spin, but I’m not buying it.

We are just not hearing about them.
