Holt released by Rams!

Details:  Holt released by Rams

Statistically, "Big Game" is 11th in league history on the all time receptions list, and his year-to-year stats rank up there with T.O. (and are perhaps even a little more consistent) with three fewer years in the league.

He is a team first guy, a cagey veteran, and an excellent route runner.  He had 1600+ yards in two of his seasons, and 1300+ in four others.  2008 was an off year for him (as it was for the woeful team) but he still started all 16 and led Rams wide receivers in production with 64 catches for 796 yards.

Personally, I'd love to see him with an orange stripe as a possession receiver, and he wouldn't be a bad fill-in for B Marsh if/when we lose him for a few weeks.

What do y'all think?
