Cultler's parents home is now on the market!
This thing just got uglier. It seems whatever Jay and Bus have cooked up, neither are content with being told how they are expendable....
PFT has the news here:
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/14/stakes-get-higher-in-cutler-broncos-feud/
It seems the previous post on Cook and the highest paid QB drama has moved to Denver and unless the Broncos now offer concrete evidence they are not going to trade him via a major salary increase and extension, this thing stays messy.
I really hope this is a cleared up on Monday and as fans we can focus on mini camps and the draft.

I hope...
they all enjoy living in Detroit.
So here is what I am thinking:
We use the first overall pick on Aaron Curry, the 12th overall pick on B.J Raji, hope that Tyson Jackson drops to 21, and spend the 46th on either Josh Freeman or Rhett Bomar and work them into the role with Chris Simms temporarily. Josh McDaniels is not afraid to go to the bench.

unlikely trade
everyone has the lions trading the first overall pick. there is no chance of this happening.
why as a fan of the broncos would you want them to do this????
it makes absolutely no sense. Stafford is another version of Cutler, similar type of player, but for 35+ million guarenteed…..if the broncos are going to hand that money to a QB, why wouldnt they give it to Cutler, at least he has proven something (albeit not alot).
so who is left….an offensive tackle is out of the picture.
our team could use a guy like Curry, but he is not a significant enough of an upgrade to warrant 35+ million guarenteed…..or much of an upgrade over who will be available at #12, who will cost a fraction of the price.
so the idea that the broncos would even want the first overall pick is insane. a more likely scenario is that the lions pass on a QB at #1, and decide to trade next years first round pick, plus this years second and then some combination of third or fourth round picks in either year to make up the difference.
if i was the lions i would take jason smith first overall, and hope that andre smith falls to #12. then swap their second first rounder, their second rounder, their 4th, next years fist and second for the 12th pick and cutler.
then walk out of the first day with a franchise LT (you would hope so) a mauler for a RT and Cutler

Cutler.
Didn’t see your post on this until I had already started a thread on this blakestreet or I wouldn’t have started another thread. Anyway, I hope this is another case of the house was going up for sale before all the Culter rumors started. Hopefully, his parents were planning on leaving Denver and going back to Indiana or something anyway several weeks ago instead of this happening because of the Culter rumors. Hopefully Jay is getting rid of 2 homes aso he can buy another home in Denver that suits his needs better that he will live in for the next 10 or 12 years!!

ok...
the house his parents sometimes lived in was the same house he was already selling, so only one house.
he has a condo in downtown denver. he’s a single guy, and it’s been stated that he doesn’t like/need to live in a 5000 sq ft house when it’s just him.
this is the kind of rumors/ twisting that gets everyone all worked up.

Reminds me of poker...
ever see a hand where someone tries to bluff; they get called and then they try to raise the pot more to try and convince the other player they are not bluffing.
Cutler/Cook have no cards to play; Bowlen has all the cards. Cutler cannot afford to hold out because of Chris Simms and the Broncos don’t need to trade him. He may skip OTAs, he may even skip the first mini-camp, but eventually he has to show up or his contract value goes in the sewer.
