Philly Mock Draft 2009
Over at bleeding green nation we are doing a mock draft with 32 of our members each representing one pick. I got the opportunity to make my pick for the broncos. Im doing my research now but would like to know the opinions of all of you. Im currently looking into defensive line and linebackers. Thanks for your help. GO DAWKINS! Since i need 14 more words, im writing this sentence. Thank s every one.

We need intimidation back on the Broncos Defense
I say Ray Maluaga all the way

That's sounds like a really cool idea you guys have over there.
I want Rey Maualuga. With Dawkins putting the fear of Zeus in the receivers, Rey could do the same with the running backs and QB’s (imagine a Dawkins/Maualuga blitz, EEE!!!); and his leadership skills would improve greatly with Brian around.
I’m not too stoked on him, but if BJ Raji falls, I’d have to think about him. Tyson Jackson may be a reach, and I recall reading that he doesn’t play 100% on every down (could be wrong), but I’d think about him, too. Also, Malcolm Jenkins if he’s there, although I too think the focus should be on the front 7.

Raji...
It’s weird, but I just want him in Denver. No other reason than a mere hunch that he is going to continue a dominate career on the NFL level. Flimsy, I know, but it is what it is.

Thanks
I really wanted to know how you felt about Maluaga. He looks like the safest pick and will more than likely be there at 12. There will be players that will fall though. A mock with 32 people instead of just one guy lets us all do more research on that team.
I believe you are right.
Maluaga is probably the more realistic, or safest pick for a mock draft.

Rey Maualuga 1st, Sean Smith Second, Brian Cushing Third

Tyson Jackson is also in the discussion,
as a 3-4 suitable DE. Depending on the coaches evaluation of Jarvis Moss and Doom at rush LB, Denver might be in the market for one of the DE/LB hybrids.
My personal favorite scenario is that we trade with you guys so the Eagles can get one of the LTs, we can get best defensive player available and pick up your 2nd round pick.
If everything stays the same
It will end up being Jackson (IF Raji is gone) IMHO. He gives us a combo beast at the 3-4 DE position at 6’4" and 300 lbs.
Tyson Jackson DE of LSU
Are you able to discuss a trade? I think Rey and Jackson maybe availabe and not be paid as a 12th pick. I am big on drafting Rey but we have filled the need of MLB in Andra Davis and DJ Williams playing the other side.
Say hello to my fast...
Tyson Jackson
This is the best defensive athlete availabale at 12. Raji will be gone, unless some of the teams in 1-11 lose their heads (which has been known to happen). Jackson is a beast against the run and really works in the 3-4 scheme. Raji is big and talented, but there is some question if he can be the center of 3-4 line on a consistent basis.
