There's just too much going on...
so I figured an afternoon edition would be appropriate. I don’t expect this to be a regular occurrence, but since the Broncos are in the news…

Sigh
There’s no escaping the Cutler Feud. I was listening to sports talk here in San Fran this morning, KNBR, hoping they’d talk about something else depressing that I have no connection to, like the Warriors or whatever, but even they were talking about Jay Cutler. SIGH. (for the record, Gary Radnich, who I actually like more than most of the dorks they have here, said he felt like it’s in poor taste for Cutler to be publicly unhappy given the number of Americans struggling to even feed or house themselves these days, which may be a bit overdramatic, but a good point I guess.) At any rate…
Thanks for these summary reports!

gave connor Barwin the 5th overall rank at his position – but it’s at DE. He’ll probably have to move to OLB in the pros, but that rank says a lot about the man – he’s a talent who can help you in multiple ways.

Mini-Camp Will Tell All
I’m half-convinced that Coach Mac told Cutler in their meeting not to come to the voluntary stuff, as it would take away from the overall goings on in the meeting that needed to get done, and he would have to pay an awful lot of attention to Cutler. Jay already said that he’ll be there for the mandatory stuff.
That’s where we’ll know if the relationship can work or not – on the football field, where it matters. Cutler will study the playbook on his own for the next five weeks, then he’ll come to the mandatory mini-camp, which occurs in the week leading up to the draft. Players will be able to talk to Cutler, and McDaniels and Cutler will find out whether or not they can make it work on the field. The best part? Bus “Satan” Cook won’t be able to attend, so Josh and Jay can actually talk one-on-one. No progress will be made as long as Cook is in the room. If it doesn’t work there, then a draft-day trade may occur.

But how you played the Game"
