This is quite similar . . .
to this article, which is syndicated and appeared in the State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL) this morning, written by Matt Trowbridge (a guy who I’d never heard of before, but made up a decent read here).
The Bears (and their fans) usually claim that they haven’t really had a quarterback since Jim McMahon. Even then, it’s not like he set the world on fire or anything. Really, they haven’t had a quarterback since Sid Luckman. THAT was a long time ago.
Believe me . . . other teams covet Cutler. But no one else will get him . . . because Bowlen, Xanders and McDaniels are not stupid enough to trade him.
It’s something to fill the columns. Look at those pretty columns . . . aren’t they just adorable?
