Who are you...

"I really have had no discussion with Jay or the agent. Mike was fired right after the season. At that point, there was no need to have a discussion with Jay. Now, actually, to be fair, I don't think I had that discussion. I don't recall it. I know I'm getting up there in age, and I am not sure of that discussion," Bowlen told NFL.com.

Above is a quote from the owner Pat Bowlen and it concerns me.  Regardless of how the team did the year before I always had faith that management would make it work.  If Bowlen had something to say, I was listening.

Now at 65 I don't think Mr. Bowlen is in the league of Al Davis in cognitive recollection challenges.  I had always believed Denver conducted its business openly and frank.  If there is a shift in that aspect of business, I'm going to be very disappointed and players should too.

I don't reside in Colorado.  I can't even throw a rock and hit Colorado.  In fact, I'd move to Colorado just to be close to the Broncos but this particular quote concerns me.  I think of the Denver fanbase to be loyal, diehard fanatics with nothing but respect for their owner then team.  He brought us Shanahan who brought Elway to his first, wait two championships.  We had the most consistent offenses and the gall to bring talents like Champ Bailey via trade.

I just hope this is simply a phase where the owner has to do some unchateristic deeds to show support for his young coach.  Please don't be like some hot executive who dumped his wife for a younger version...All of Denver would be heartbroken.  Stand by this coach but rescind some of the control he has and have him earn them.

I've regressed.  I'm not ripping the owner or management.  I am disappointed and thats expected in times of change.  What I am asking is this, "Mr. Bowlen what are your goals for this regime? What do you expect in the short term and what plans do we have to exceed mediocrity in the long term.

The face of the franchise is the Quarterback.  The voice of the franchise is the Head Coach.  The decisions that allow us to pass/fail are of the Owner.  Let's save face by saying little and making it happen.

Now that McD is here I think you can expect 'openness and frankness' to be a thing of the pass.

Reportedly, McD is very much like Bill Belichick in how he prefers to run the show. In other words, you can’t really believe anything he says and he feels no obligation whatsoever to be straight forward with the fans or reporters or players. It’s the “Patriot Way”.

The old wife was the sweet one who would cook dinner and clean and was happy spending an everning at home with you and the kids.

The new wife wouldn’t touch a vacuum, doesn’t know how to work the stove, and expects a steak hous dinner where she has one or two too many every night and ends up picking a fight on the way home after which you both go to bed angry.

But hey…She’s hot right?

"C" is for Championship...that's good enough for meeeee!!!

LMAO

Nice analogy, guys.

How hot?

That waits to be seen. If she’s a demon in the sack (i.e. W’s galore), she doesn’t have to cook, clean, or even be nice. If on the other hand, she doesn’t “put out” we have a major problem because she’s already written into the will.

I caught some of an interview with Bus the other night

He was trying to twist Pat’s statements at the beginning, when he didn’t expect to hire someone who would change the offense, to a promise to Cutler to keep the O coaches. It was very lame – Pat was in a process, the process led him into come changes that he didn’t expect but decided were best, and Cook was acting as if that was breaking a promise to Cutler.

I agree – Pat most likely didn’t forget anything. Bus is twisting this to make money. It’s been his MO – it doesn’t look like anything has changed.

he's 3 different kinds of evil

lawyer, agent, and pirahna.

he’ll suck on jay’s success as long as he can and don’t be surprised if Cook is seriously taking advantage of Jay Cutlers wallet too.

He just seems like the guy that would give himself a raise because he thinks he deserves it.

Peyton Hillis in '09.

Name him---Mr. Balls....or Thunderpussy.

No.

More like the senate’s pay raise to themselves while the AIG bonus flap was going on. I think Bus Cook should consider a congressional career. Money for executives who run a business = bad. Pay raises for senators who gripe about how much other people make = priceless. Go figure!

Think about it dcrespo,

Pat may have had that conversation with Jay, and I don’t think that Jay would forget that, because it ment more to Jay than it did to Pat! How many players and coaches, and how many other people in pats life hit him with this and that and every other thing and then, he gets to go to the golf course and forget it all for a couple of hours.

It is better to keep silent, and appear to be wise, then to ramble on and remove all doubt! The Wisest Man, Solomon.

There's a problem with proximity...

as in no one can identify when the two were in the same city in order to have that alleged conversation. Isn’t it interesting that Cutler never mentioned this conversation before either.
