BRONCOS rough DRAFT BOARD
I've tried to compile a broncos draft board. This one is a rough draft, a Final draft will come later. But I want to hear the community's take on it. So please help! Name any prospecsts you think I missed and should be on the board. or vica-versa oh & the rank of the players
I tried to keep it to players who I believe the broncos will target -character/versatility etc. The players aren't neccasarily in any particular order although they are somewhat. And I tried to put them in the round we would start looking at them.
Buzz up!

100% agree with Hog
Also add Louis Delmas in round 2 and Sammie lee Hill in rounds 3 and 4.
Nice job though man….I like your thinking!

Alright I'll add Delmas in the second
I wasn’t sure Sammie Lee Hill fit our scheme -but I love the guy
maybe if he drops to the 5th

Tht's the trick to your board
definitely try to put the prospects where DENVER wnats to take them, not where they are projected to go. That will make it more accurate.
Good luck! These cna be tough to do,a nd it looks like you are off to a good start!

Yeah
I know there are questions about him, but if BJ slides to 12 I can’t see how we would pass up on him.
I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.

I personally don't think the broncos are going to sit still at 12.
I think with our young coach who has made plenty of offseason moves and comes from a place where trading back and still picking up your guy is highly regarded, I think there is a high chance we move back. IMO

a few critiques
McKillop and Gilbert have moved up considerably is their projected rounds. Some say gilbert could be a high second round pick and McKillop is considered a late second. No way he ever drops to the fourth

Yea Ive seen him around
I dont think we’d spend a second on him though
If he drops to the third or fouth he’d be great value. Someone has to fall

I put him where I had Denver start looking at him, not the most accuratley projected round

Being a Boise State fan
I would like to see Ian Johnson on the 7th round board.

I think he will make a good reliable back-up for some team..
He is also a very good reciever out of the backfield—he can also throw the ball—so he might be good for some specialty plays.

I'll take a look at him
Maybe I’ll add a Rookie Free Agent section

Rig, thanks, that's where Ian will end up.
He will be tried out by someone.

I left out Raji & Brace because I didn't feel they fit our team
Does anyone agree with me?
by RiG on Mar 29, 2009 12:44 PM MDT reply actions 0 recs
They fit
in that they areNT prospects,a dn they don’t have overwhelming character or injury concerns, just average. But if you rank Raji at the bottom of the first, adn Brace as a 3rd or later pick, I think it will accurately reflect the Broncos evaluations of them.

I would like to see interior O Linemen and a TE looked at from the 4th round on
We need youth at those positions and while they are sitting on the bench and/or playing ST for a year or two they can be learning the new offensive system. I am willing to wait a year before getting young WRs and RBs, we did a good job of replenishing those positions last year. I am also interested in getting a developmental QB for the practice squad in the 6th or 7th.
Thanks for putting the board together, it helps me crystallize my thoughts.
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.

Your welcome....
I didn’t look as long at the offense as I did the defense. I need to take a better look at QBs WRs late round RBs and TEs
