WHY I LOVE THE DAWKINS SIGNING (not a joke post)
I think this about sums up my feelings on the subject. This intensity that Brian puts into EVERY tackle will shape the way our boys play defense!
We have DJ who plays Solid and Champ who is another quiet leader but Dawkins will Bring the heat if you miss your assignment or tackle. Is everyone as excited as I am?

The signing of B Dawk was a coup...
I already have my 4 year old son saying; “B Dawk brings the hammer dad! Go Broncos!”
Those that cant coach, compete!
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
The best thing about the Dawkins signing..
is that he will elevate the play of everyone around him. Players like that are such a precious commodity. Talent is one thing, but passion (Yes, I see your hand Nate Webster) and smarts (now you can put it down, Nate) are another. I love the fact that our young guys are going to get exposed to him.
Keep up the good work in the Broncos lab Xanders (I think it’s safe to say positive things about our GM again!)

Beware the wrath of a patient adversary.

poor Nate...
I actually like his heart…just wish he could play smarter….

Dawkins...
is a certified stud. From what I saw of him in the playoffs, he is a playmaker that is always around the ball.
That's a good pic...
But nothing beats the little vid that the Guru posted on the FA Open thread of B-Dawk giving James Thrash a belly-to-back german suplex….there should be more pro-wrestling moves in football.
Have a good time all the time...that's my motto. - Viv Savage
Love the Dawkins signing...
He is one of those rare players, like Al Wilson, who actually makes everyone else around him a better player too. With Dawkins and Hill our biggest weakness last year has become one of our strengths.
Dawkins signing
When I first heard he was visiting Denver I thought it was for leverage, I was shocked that he was even allowed to leave Philly. I never thought he would ever leave the Eagles and join the Broncos. I am psyched!!! You don’t let a guy like this get away when he still has a lot to offer, a leader who is professional and makes others around him better and can flat out Ball. This a great addition to the Denver Broncos and I cannot wait to see how this Defense plays.
The only difference between genius and insanity is perception
Ooooooohhhh Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!
Do we have a Broncos fight song that he can lead the crowd in at Invesco?
This guy is a Ray Lewis type that we have been missing since Al Wilson retired.
I’m completely stoked!

Great Dawkins profile piece from NFL Films
Saw this on HTiki’s site and had to share:
"Hey guy worm has turn...We need all kind of crazy fool on defence. Like ten new guy...Just solid guy not souper star break you bank. I turn guy." - Horvil Tiki
I defy anyone to watch this and not feel excited to have this man in our backfield

Davis and Gaffney are far better pick ups than Dawkins
Dawkins still knows where to be but he doesn’t get there like he used to, he took a big step back last year and isn’t much more than an average safety at this point in his career. You can rave about a big hit here and there and his veteranosity but he’s just John Lynch, back from the grave.
Not that any of it really matters since you still don’t have a defensive line to protect any of your new defensive signee’s.
hater
Peyton Hillis in '09.
I just can't wait to see number 20 tearing someones arm out of socket
(ex. John Lynch to Phyllis Rivers in 05)
I wish guys on this team could say
“I took a step back and still made the prow bowl”
Come on pete dont hate because your only pro Bowl player for the last 5 years was your punter! (ironically hes also the guy with the most field time in oakland)
"We should have kept Seattle and dumped San Diego from the Division"
Davis and Sharpe to the Hall!
