I'll say it.
T.O. on a one year deal.
How many 'f' characters do you see in the folowing sencence?
Finished files are the result of years of scientific study combined with the experience of years.
Answer: 6

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You want this team divided before they even get a chance to mesh? Seriously?

Not enough vets on offense to keep TO in check!
That would be a real bad move.

actually TO for a one year deal might not be bad!
Dawkins will kill him and say “anyone else not a TEAM player?” That’s worth a million!

If this were to happen before they had to play actual games,
then I’m all for Jon’s idea.

I sense a little humor here,
but if that was true he would have done that when they both played in Philly

T.O.?
No way. The Broncos are trying to build a champion. Not destroy one from within. That is all he does. “The player” as Parcells would say.
It is too bad because his career numbers would surely get him into the Hall on the first ballot if he wasn’t such a schmoe.
Oh yeah, he couldn’t carry Rice’s jock.

Interesting point....
The Broncos have given a total of less than $40 mill in guaranteed money to all 12 FAs combined. Redskins gave $41 mill to one player (Haynesworth).

TO sucks the soul out of teams...
SF – never been the same since….
Eagles – ditto (yes they make the playoffs, but again, can’t get over the hump)
Cowgirls – major setback… and NO, Roy isn’t the answer….
Next victim?? My prediction: Vikings, Seahawks, 49rs (yes, Singletary factor), and the Skins of course (even though they said they wouldn’t…)….
Beware the wrath of a patient adversary.

the Arrington deal
it looks like his salary won’t be guaranteed for 2009, due to an injury he failed to disclose, involving a torn meniscus in his knee. He played on the hurt knee in the SuperBowl and was keeping it under wraps so it wouldn’t affect his free agency. ooops.
So he looks like a get out of jail free “card”. If he performs, we pay him, but if his injuries give him trouble, we are free to cut him. Another great signing and smart contract.

Wow
that’s interesting. Great scoop there, Styg. And yes, smart work by the Broncos.

Wow
It also looks like Denver is expecting Darryl Reid to compete at OLB… I have to say I didn’t see that one coming…

I noticed that too...
so far I’m pretty impressed with these guys on a personnel level. Other than the way they mishandled that fiasco this weekend they seem to be collecting a lot of very solid performers for relatively little money.

He's faster than most TE's.
And some WR’s. I think his problem was that he couldn’t play a 2 gap, or was too small, or something. I’m excited that he might be our “pass rush specialist.” Every good 3-4 needs a Demarcus Ware, Shawne Merriman, or Joey Porter. I think this might be our guy. I see him as likely to compete at both DE and OLB, like Ware.

So not to be totally confused here
We have DOOM, Moss, Woodyard and now Reid as Pass Rush LB’s? So that leave Spence DJ and Davis in the Middle and Boss/ Green on the other side? Forgive me if I seem a little concerned

Olshansky
The one signing I would like to see is Igor Olshansky. Bring some nasty, and a chip on his shoulder against one SD.

Still prefer Olshansky
Given the fits he has given us, consistently blowing up plays, killing opportunities. That is what we have been missing on defense – playmakers, not necessarily the highlight reel type.
