Other Trade Possibility

Hello Bronco Nation! I've been lurking on this site for quite sometime but am not one to usually chime in. I wanted to throw out another trade possiblity that I haven't heard of yet, but makes perfect sense, at least to me; the Houston Texans.

I think we all know that the Texans aren't sold on Matt Schaub and that Cutler and Kubiak know each other well. Kubiak runs the same kind of offense that cry baby Jay is comfortable with and has a formidable target in Andre Johnson.

What does everybody think of trading Jay for Shaub and the Texans #15, #46, and #77. Houston also has many young defensive players that could be packaged.

The Texans have not come up as possible trade partners, but it makes perfect sense! I would love to hear all your comments!

Never thought of that...

Definitely outside the box but it would make sense.
I am not sure about Schaub, but it interesting!

That would be quite the trade...

I’ve always liked Shaub and always felt the Falcons started the wrong QB (Vick) when he played for them.

I can't see the Texans giving that much up for Jay

I agree...

But I do like Schaub.. definitely worth exploring.
I’ve got to think that the way they go about this is to first ask: who is the QB out there who’s available with the most upside for this system? If they target a QB they covet, that may mean they don’t get as much in terms of a total trade package.

As far as I knew, that was at least part of the thinking when,

they went out & got Simms. The pats had looked @ him, liked what they saw & then decided that they didn’t want Cassel to “be looking over his shoulder”, (easily bruised ego?). As soon as McD got started in FA he got Simms, just in case. At least that’s what I read here at MHR, (any more I’m too busy to go anywhere else for my Broncos fix! THANKS FOR THE SITE GUYS & GALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this thought

and don’t think it is as far fetched as some think. I think the Texans could make the deal, but the Broncos would have to settle for a #2 pick from next year, instead of all of their picks from this year.
