Strength of Schedule for 2009
For all of us dreading our schedule, according to nfl.com we are tied for the 19th most difficult schedule. That means more then half of the other teams in the NFL have a tougher schedule then us.

A problem with this
Our opponents’ combined record next year is 122-132. However, our division not including us went 8-8, 5-11, and 4-12. Combined, that’s 32-62. So it’s the games outside our division that have a combined 90-70 record that are scaring most people.
I seem to have lost my future self.
besides...our division record in recent years isn't all that great either.....
2006=3-3
2007=3-3
2008=3-3
So our division is 32-62 last year, but an even .500 against us.
Verbose in style, dispersion of thought, procrastination in life.
I should explain my maths.
Since we play each team twice, I took each teams wins and losses times 2 and then added them all up. However, I just realized that the Chiefs went 2-14, not 4-12.
So, 8×25×22×2=30
And 8×211×214×2=66
So, teams in our division have a combined 30-66 record in the games we play them, and other teams have a 92-66 record.
I seem to have lost my future self.
It’s a goofy listing… I mean, look at the top 7 and 4 of them are AFC East teams. And, there’s a very good reason.
So yeah, the AFCW teams make our schedule look good when you factor in the W/L from 2008 … nobody was over .500.
The non-AFCW teams are without a doubt a huge concern. I still think only the division winner advances from the AFCW in 2009.
