Idaho Nate's Official 7 Round Mock

After countless hours of tireless research, I'm positive I've created an exact replica of the Bronco's draft. I'm so confident I know McXander's drafting approach that I would like to just claim my prize now:)

Even though I know every pick will be right, all you bronco nation draftivus geniuses may commence to ripping me apart. Don't be shy, I'll take it like a man!

1a Rey Maualuga MLB USC

This Beast of a man will shore up the middle for years and end up in the ring of fame.

1b Tyson Jackson DE  LSU

Another Beast who will crash the edges

2 Patrick Chung CB Oregon

Can You imagine Chung, Bailey, and B-Dawk in the secondary? A day 1 starter

3a Derry Beckwith MLB LSU

One of the most underrated MLB's in the draft. Will eventually pair with Rey in the middle with Doom and Moss on the outside.

3b Sammie Lee Hill NT Stillman

The best NT in the draft, you heard it hear first!

4 Paul Kruger DE Utah

Maybe a little bit of a sentimental pick here, I watched this guy tear up pokes many times. A very high character guy who knows how to get after the qb

5 Nate Davis QB Ball St.

My worst pick in the draft! He will act as a DD for Neckbeard. At least he has a cool name though.

6 Marko Mitchell WR Nevada

Watched this guy play, he's a beast who could take the pressure off Bmarsh

7a Kory Sheets RB Purdue

Maybe the steal of the draft here! A versatile guy who is a powerful runner, good blocker, and has good hands. We can't have too many running backs right?

7b Louie Sakoda PK Utah

Prater is not getting the job done and McD wants to personally groom his new future HOF kicker.

Ok fellow bronco's let me have it! Please don't copy me just for the sake of winning!

I pondered

that as well, however I felt the best pass rushing olb were to be had in the early second round. After missing out on virtually all of them, I had to pick Chung. I think between Elvis, Moss, Crowder, and Woodyard that we are fairly stable there.

I didn’t know how hard mock’s are until you actually do one. There just are not enough picks to go around

Two Utes, a Duck, and throw in a Wolfpack

Somebody likes the teams close to home. And I like them too.

My image is the Circa 1960-’61 Broncos home uniform sock. Some what folk lore to me ... but referred to as the clown sock by my Dad.

I like your picks, but a couple of things

I seriously doubt it that we take TWO MLB’s. We already have D.J. Williams, ever heard of him? Just signed him to a new five year deal at the beginning of last season. He will line up with Maualuga in the middle for us, if the draft goes this way.

If Paul Kruger falls to us in round four, I will be extremely taken aback. He is regarded as a high second round, fringe first round pick from what I have heard, and could go to Detroit at 33. I don’t think there are 113 better players than him in this draft.

I LOVE Sammie Lee Hill in round three, great pick, and I agree he is going to ultimately be one of, if not the best NT out of this draft. I also like that we picked up Marko Mitchell and Kory Sheets late.

Love the first three picks of Maualuga, Jackson, and Chung, although I wouldn’t mind if we went after Knowshon Moreno with one of our first round picks.

Yeah

Like it for the most part, but second the fact that Kruger doesn’t fall trough round two at the very most.

Thanks

for the comments Sayre, I haven’t seen any mocks that have Kruger going that high. But yes, it would be an absolute steal to get him in round 4. I watched a program on him about when he got stabbed a bunch of times during a fight, and came back and played football. I’m not sure of his stats, but I know he piled on the sacks during his college career.

I do agree on Knowshon, at one point I had us taking him and sheets, but during the mock process, it’s hard to fit everybody in and be happy. At one point, I had us taking maualuga and cushing in the first. I would be happy with moreno in round one though. I really wanted a rush olb in round 3 but there just wasn’t anybody there that warranted a pick, that’s why there’s two mlb’s. Thanks again for the comments.

Yes, he was a famous victim

He sure recovered well, and I’d love to get him but I’d hardly expect that kind of value. You won’t like this but: take him in the 3rd and Hill in the 4th and nobody would have complained.
