Bronco 2009 Mock Draft

Here is my wish list for the Broncos upcoming draft

1-12 Tyson Jackson DE LSU 6'5" 290lbs- Getting the best 3-4 end will help the transition to a new defense

1-18 Larry English OLB Northern Illinois 6'3" 255lbs- May be considered a slight reach at 18, but he is the best pass rushing LB in the draft

2-48 Ron Brace DT Boston College 6'3" 326lbs- Will be the big NT needed to run a successful 3-4

3-79 Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly SLO 6'6" 225lbs- An another huge WR to play opposite B-Marsh and allow Eddie Royal to play in the slot where he'll be most effective

3-84 Kraig Urbik OG Wisconsin 6'5" 328lbs- Its time to start looking for an eventual replacement for Ben Hamilton

4-114 Michael Hamlin S Clemson 6'2" 214lbs- A safety to be groomed by Clemson alum B-Dawk

5-149 Rhett Bomar QB Sam Houston St. 6'2" 225lbs- With 10 draft picks the Broncos will get a QB. Here is one that has talent and was humbled already in his career

6-185 DeAngelo Smith CB Cincinatti 5'11" 194lbs- CB that can be groomed by Champ Bailey for the future

7-225 Arian Foster RB Tennesse 6'1" 226lbs- If available in the 7th he'd be a steal to be a great insurance policy

7-235 Nick Reed LB Oregon 6'2" 255lbs-Would be a great 7th rounder who will excel on ST

This is a great mock....

One of the best I have seen. I’m not super excited about taking English so early. I would rather have Clay Matthews or Ayers with our #18. Other than that…..rock and roll!

Thanks for the love. Matthews would be great because he walked on and became a starter @ USC so that tells you his work ethic plus it can’t hurt to have been around the game your entire life and your dad being a good NFL LB. Ayers is a great pass rusher as well and I wouldn’t have hurt feelings either way.
