Who's Working Out II.
My first fanpost on this topic listed a number prospects for whom the Broncos had scheduled visits.
Not every prospect made it, as Chris Wells' missed plane flight prevented the Broncos from taking a closer look, but those who did are an interesting lot and they've become even more interesting now that I've done my homework on a few of the lesser known prospects.

Let me list the original group once again.

I had a little trouble entering more comments after the block quote so let me continue here.
I noticed Eron Riley (WR) listed as one of the biggest sleepers in the draft, which answered the question of why the Broncos would be interested. He’s over 6’3 and ran a 4.29-40yd. at his pro day, and combine that with his production and you have someone who’s worth taking earlier than the 7th round, where he’s been projected.
The other prospect that I wondered about when I first posted is Richard Quinn (TE). I had heard of him but hadn’t paid particularly close attention to the ‘two blocking TEs from the Carolinas. It’s tough to get a fair appraisal on a good blocker, but I’ve looked at him and would love to see us draft him if he sticks around till the 6th, although I doubt he will. PS — I see DS now has him going in the 4th and rising.

I watched a decent amount of Quinn
and he is a solid prospect. I agree, I think the sixth is a sweet spot to find him at.
To put type below the block quote, swithc your editor to html, and at the very bottom type

and switch back to the wysiwyg editor. You’ll now have a line (carriage return) to type on again.

NFL channel helps
It’s hard to form an opinion of blockers, as I say above. Looking at film helps but I don’t have time to look at everyone and the clips aren’t always representative.
Quinn has been featured on NFL channel and Mayock (and Casserly?) has recommended him. Production statistics often don’t tell us much, especially for a blocking TE.
After watching him on NFL and hearing his praises, I also think he’s a wonderful 6th round choice (if he lasts). I like a lot of the TEs in that range, and for different reasons. Oddly, it’s the blocking TEs that getting hard to find, and the good in-line blockers who can actually catch the ball, too, are a rare commodity.
I admit to being out of sync with many fans, I think blocking is good.

Thanks!
Great timing on this as I was wondering about who the Broncos had worked out.
Keep Moving Forward.

he has an unreal ability
to stack and shed, but I saw NO double teams on him in 2008 (though he did draw some combination blocks by the ends of some games).
But that ability shed in zero space, and so QUICKLY. Unreal. It was a joy to spot him in the line.

I think Denver will look at him as
a versatile guy that can move between OLB and DE initially, and then between DE and DT/NT with experience (like say, after a couple of years). He will get bigger, he is mature, productive, hardworking…a Bronco by any measure.
But he is expensive. Compare him to other guys in the 1st and 2nd round, and I think Denver can look elsewhere for value. See him at either pick in the third and he is a solid, solid value there. In all the test mocks I ran on draft tek he went late in the second, very early in the third. That’s about right.

What's the matter with Patrick Chung?
