Coming of Age as a Bronco Fan

I think like all things in life we experience, and hopefully we grow and mature as we experience.

I attended my first Bronco game against the hated chiefs and the first chief I laid eyes on was their punter.  I screamed at him "Run the fake again Aguar that works great!" ( a reference to the playoff game the year before)  I yelled with a lot of pinned up teenage testosterone.

I also remember walking up to a father and son who boldly sat in the South Stands in their chief gear... I calmly looked the father in his eyes, and right in front of his son I said "You shouldn't raise your son that way, that’s child abuse."

I am glad I have come of age since those episodes.  As we mature like a fine "orange wine" I have four basic principles to suggest as we move into unchartered territory.

1.  Elway is of course St. Elway but we need to drop all comparisons to future QBs. We were lucky enough to be blessed with the best.

2.  We should not use stupid catch names to describe our head coach, after all he is OUR head coach...feel free to be critical but use class.

3.  Orton is OUR QB lets move ahead, and I must say I am convinced by a few of the bloggers at MHR and admit I have at least had a shot of the Kool-Aid.

4.  As much as we want to win another Super Bowl... Pat Bowlen wants to win it more!

God Bless the Denver Broncos!
