THINGS I HEARD AROUND THE NFL THIS WEEK …
1. A report from the Denver Post claims the Broncos will bring in Mark Sanchez for a workout this week, but that can’t be correct. NFL rules state that teams are not allowed to work out a player in the team’s city unless it also happens to be the player’s home town or college town. In the case of Sanchez, the only way the Broncos could work him out this week would be at USC or in his home town, but not in Denver. In addition, no prospects are allowed to travel this week, as all visits have to end on Friday a week before the draft.
From Michael Lombardi's Sunday At The Post Column on NationalFootballPost.com. That is a pretty interesting bit of MSM refuting there.

Denver Post never claimed Sanchez was coming in.
It doesn’t say anything in that Denver Post article about the Broncos bringing Mark Sanchez in. What It does say is- they have scheduled a private workout for Tuesday.
Why can't prospect travel, I am confused, I could see them not working out
But it makes no sense they could not travel, isn’t this the USA, since when does the NFL superceed the US constitution.

What on earth makes you think the NFL is bound by the Constitution?
Where have you been lately? LOL

Yeah, he is in the draft
so he should be able to go wherever he wants to. Talk about being controlling.
GO BRONCOS IN 2009 AND BEYOND!!
Lakers lead Utah 1-0
The Broncos are flying to California on Tuesday
so Lombardi doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Time to galvanize
I heard it was Xanders and McCoy that went out there
Seems like a smoke screen at best, I have no idea why you would go out there now versus having some scouts showup for the pro-day he had at USC a few weeks ago. I think it is to try to get other teams to jump up and draft him.
