ORTON had a BREAKOUT year last year!!(almost) READ to see why he may be like jay!!!

ok, i was as mad as any1 when we got kyle orton. but then i heard an analysist say he was having a breakout year be4 he got hurt!!(sprained ankle) PLUS, he fits the system qb that freakin Mcdaniels runs b/c he ran it out PURDUE! here r the stats be4 he got hurt.

first 7 games healthy

238 ypg

62.2% completion

7.26 yards per throw

10 td

4 int

91.0 qb rating

NOW THE LAST 7 games in which he was hurt

170 YPG

54.11% completion

5.38 yards per throw

8 td

8 int

66.95 QB RATING!!!

HERE R CUTLERS STATS FROM LAST YEAR!

282.87 ypg

62.3% Completion

7.35 yards per throw

25 td

18 int

86.0 qb rating

ok, so if orton stayed healthy then he wood average 44 less ypg, the same completion%, same ypt, a few less tds ALMOST 10 LESS INTERCEPTIONS!!!!, and a better qb rating!!!!

and this is with cutler having great o line and wr's and orton havng a terrible oline and wr's. cutler got sacked 11 times. our man orton got sacked 27 times!!!

orton had to get back be4 he was totally healthy b/c grossman was terrible!

so, orton has pottential and as much as i love jay  WE HAVE to move on!!!

btw, anybody intersetd in 1..2...3 cutler jerseys!!! jk, ill probley keep em!

no need to go crazy over Orton. Orton is a stop gap, not the next great QB

his arm is not nearly as strong as jays, but you are right, he does take care of the ball. he isnt flashy, but can be a good stop gap until we get bradford or mccoy next year. But i dont think he’ll even start here, The Spleen’s era has started :P

like i said dude, he's a stop gap

chris simms is just as good as orton, maybe better. we’ll have to wait and see. But we all know Orton is not the long term answer. Right now, Orton is not near the level Cutler is right now. McD is probably gonna draft bradford or mccoy next year. Imagine what he’ll do with a GOOD QB! cassell was just a product of the system

The SPLEEN will start not Orton!

Maybe we can get a poll going

I’d be interested to see which QB MHR thinks will start next year. I haven’t seen enough of Simms, but I think Orton is somewhere around Cassel’s level. And if reports are to be believed, we almost traded The Player straight up for Cassel.
