Well as all of us know, Jay Cutler is no longer a Bronco. We got 2 first round picks, a 3rd round pick, and Kyle Orton for him. Not bad, in my opinion.
Orton (Neckbeard) and Simms (The Spleen) will battle it out to start at QB this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Spleen is starting. The guy is tough! Rupturing his spleen the first half of the game and finishing the game with it! That is was i call toughness. Orton put up pretty good numbers with a bad team. I would be fine with either of these guys starting this year. Then I think McDaniels will take Bradford or McCoy in the draft next year if neither guy shows they can be the long term answer. I would love McCoy here! Go Horns!
I'm going to miss Jay's rocket arm, but not the way he carried himself. He goes and sits on the bench after every drive, yells at his teammates way too much, and runs away when he has to face adversity. I'm disappointed in Jay that he couldn't realize that he and Denver could have been something very special. I believe Jay could have won a few Super Bowls here in Denver, but Jay never really wanted to be a Denver Bronco. Today is the best day in Cutler's life, accoording to his dad. Cutler didn't know what being a Denver Bronco was all about, and he didn't care. As of right now, I am not a Jay Cutler fan, and I don't think I will ever be again. He quit on the Broncos, his teammates, and the city of Denver. That, I can't forgive!!! This seems like Eddie Kennison x100.
If you didn't know, I live north of Chicago in the heart of Bear country. Earl Bennet lives right by me, so I'm sure I'll see Jay every once in a while. My guess is that he will be living about 10 minutes away from me in Gurnee. Maybe I should TP his house or something :P. But if I ever come in contact with him, I am definitely going to let him know how I feel about him. And I can not wait til that day comes!
So as I wrap this up Broncos fans, do not feel down about this trade. Jay Cutler should be the one feeling bad. He now has a whole city turned against him, and a new team that is horrible in pass protection and has no offensive weapons. The defense is getting old and the timetable to win is very slim. Jay Cutler left a situation that could have made him the best QB in NFL history, and now he will never get close to that ever again. Instead of becoming an NFL great, Jay Cutler will be remembered as this era's Jeff George.
With these picks, Denver can build a rock solid defense. Our defense will become the best it has ever been since the orange crush days and the Broncos will be winning games. Defense win championships, right? This trade is going to make the defense a lot better. I'm excited about that and so should the rest of you guys.
