DB - Gray Caldwell details the last day of the Broncos' first mini-camp. Some

DB - Broncos TV has interviews with Coach McDaniels and QBs Orton and Simms.

DB - Here are photos from the final day of mini-camp.

NFL - Here is the AP's report on the Broncos' practices.

DP - LJones examines the burgeoning quarterback competition and regurgitates the probably-incorrect news of a Mark Sanchez private workout (as pointed out by Mike Lombardi and TedBartlett905)

DP - Terry Frei profiles new Bronco Darrell Reid, who played defensive tackle for the Colts but is expected to play some end and linebacker in Denver.

DP - LJones considers the Broncos' need at defensive tackle and the available draft prospects.

DP - McDaniels is concerned with weight loss by the Broncos over the 2008 season and is paying attention to their nutrition, among other notes.

PI - They're missing Brian Dawkins back in Philly.

CSG - Frank Schwab also reports from Denver's mini-camp.

Star-divide

KCS - Adam Teicher discusses the Chefs' pass-rushing needs.

KCS - Kent Babb offers notes on the Chef's mini-camp.

SDUT - Nick Canepa reminds us that an coach- or GM-speak this week is probably a bunch of baloney. Naturally, Canepa speaks with the guy who most loves to hear himself talk or read his quotes in print, Dolts GM A.J. Smith.

SFC - David White considers the likelihood of the Raiders drafting yet another safety.

CBS - Pete Prisco checks out the Raiders' draft needs.

CBS - Rob Rang lists some top draft prospects who (hopefully) won't be making off-the-field headlines.

NFL - Pat Kirwan sees B.J. Raji slipping to the Broncos at #12, and Denver selecting DE Robert Ayers at #18 in his latest mock draft.

Good Morning NYC

Thanks for the news

My Dad told me about the 4 seasons:
Pre-season
Regular-season
Post-season
Off-season

Thanks NYC!

How does the genius staff from last year miss such a massive drop in weight from the squad? Especially after Cutler’s weight loss you think they would have been all over it like a fat kid on a cup cake.
Makes you wonder what has been going on in Dove Valley the last 5 years!

Those that cant coach, compete!
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
All I want is 53 Rod Smiths. Is that asking too much????

Good point boydy....

but it also illustrates that no detail is too small for McD to examine. It’s still too early to pass judgment, but I am increasingly impressed with our new HC.

Handling himself like the 25-year veteran of the sidelines he is!

Wesely Woodyard playing inside Saftey
Some players are learning new positions. Elvis Dumervil, Jarvis Moss and Tim Crowder have switched from defensive end to outside linebacker. Wesley Woodyard, who was an outside linebacker, played inside linebacker Sunday.

missed that on WW

It will please the people who have been advocating that position change. I don’t know if it will stick but they’ll give him a long look.

I’m slightly more interested in Crowder’s move. I see him as still having more potential at DE.

my mistake

I was thinking they tried him at Safety. I’ve seen where some people project WW inside, it’s an interesting idea. I guess speed counts there.

Not safety

At ILB on Sunday. He’s not being tested at safety.

My Mistake, I guess im dislexic

The S from Sunday jumped into linebacker and converted it to Saftey. hmm

Pat Kirwan

I also noticed he has the Broncos picking Sean Smith (CB/S) out of Utah at #48. If those three come to fruition they could bring immediate impact to the Broncos D.

liked that

1) – Raji, 1b) – Ayers, 2) – S Smith. That’s a nice group.

Lindsay Jones is right about Sanchez

The Broncos are working him out in California tomorrow.

Time to galvanize
