Bissinger Vs. Leitch; MSM vs. Blogs
If you want to understand the battle between the MSM and the blogosphere, this is it in a nutshell. Leitch, the author of the hilarious and widely read Deadspin, goes head to head against Bob Costas and Bissinger, author of Friday Night Lights, and they blow their lids and the more they talk the older they sound.

thanks man, i missed that one
I’m an avid reader of deadspin, ksk, and withleather. They’re all awesome in their own way. I have to say though I was a bit disappointed by Leitch’s defense… it just didn’t seem all that well formulated and had some holes in it. I thought he could’ve brought up a major point of defense in that perhaps his readers like to read his site not for just the serious posts, but also the extremely witty and gut-bustingly funny posts! Why does journalism always have to be so serious? I find these sites a breath of fresh air as it brings some humor into the world of sports… “why so serious?”
Anyways, it was pretty hilarious to see Bob Costas say “f*ckface”.
Interesting
"Me fail english, that unpossible" - Ralph Wiggum
"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem" - Duffman
"Good, bad, I'm the one with the gun, A-hole" - Ash from Army of Darkness
Frankly
everybody looked like a doofus in this mess. Leitch wasn’t even remotely prepared for their vitriol (as indicated in his comments on the blog, where he talked about how Bissinger was getting high-fived after the repulsive showing), and bissinger was as classless as he could possibly be.
Reason and the rational human faculty were in short supply that day, no doubt. Both groups were more intent on hating, and could have cared less for understanding eachother.
There is no army so powerful as an idea whose time has come.
