So being the draft honk I am, I rolled out of bed and grabbed my remote to tune into the very start of what is to 5 hours of pre-draft coverage on NFL Network.... and there it was, leading before Matthew Stafford's news with the lions, on the crawl on the bottom of the screen was the report that the "Matt Kalinger (who?) was traded to the Broncos for 2010 1st round pick and Bobby Chore (who?).
After cursing McDaniels for trading away a valuable pick next year for some guy I've never heard of I kept saying it was some mistake.... So I ran the DVR back and re-read it... Twice... Three times... No team was mentioned as trade partner and positions weren't listed for either of these "players"... MHR had nothing on the trade... They weren't discussing it on NFL Net... Rotoworld had nothing... ESPN had nothing... NFL.com had nothing.... Googling and Yahooing Mr. Kalinger and Mr. Chore turned up nothing... It was a false alarm.
To the overzealous graphics dudes whom I suspect are name Kalinger and/or Chore... Pull your schenanigans when off the air.... Don't play jokes on eachother to lead the pre-draft NFL Netowork special!
Thankfully I'd only alerted just one person before I realized it was a joke/raiderfan screwing with us...
It has since disappeared from the crawl. Jerks.
