I was going to counter by mentioning the heiress of the Krispy Kreme fortune

my big board
is clearing of a rate of about 4-1 right now. That is, 4 players I don’t give a flip about to one player who fits.
The great news is that a bunch of the best prospects remain untouched….

That's the real facinating thing about the draft to me...
everyone has their own board. One of the telling things from McD’s presser yesterday was that a lot of guys on his board were flying off late in the second round, while Mel’s/Mayock’s best available went virtually unchanged. The teams have the access, their boards were much different than the pundits. Another huge reason it’s to damn tough to judge a draft.

Ok, odd things I want to comment on:
1) I think it is great that the Armour All commercial features a song from School House Rock (“Verb”)
2) Is it just me, or is the chick in the Alka Seltzer Commercial kind of cute? (“What kind of girl do you think I am, exactly?” I know what kind of girl I hope she is!)
3) I know a lot of folks don’t like Chucky, but I’ll take an NFL coach’s thoughts over a talking head any day.
4) NFLN blows ESPN’s coverage out of the water. Much more serious. (As I speak, Chucky is beating the snot out of his broadcast partner AGAIN!)
5) There is a difference between some of the folks on the site who disagree with Denver’s draft strategy and back it up, and the guys that just spew negativity and try to pass themselves off as fans.
6) I’m not a Treckie, but I am SO there for the movie.
7) Those Golden Corral commercials make me hungry.
8) I hate fluff in sports broadcasting (or in any news), but the big head hijinx on NFLN last night was very, very funny!
That is all.

I really am growing weary
of this ESPN broadcast. I don’t have NFLN, so I don’t really have the option, but I can tell you that the constant struggle for air-time is dragging the show down. Chris Mortensen, ESPN’s Mr. Investigative Reporter, keeps trying to inject himself into the conversation with the big kids and Jaws is just chewing him up and Mort seriously needs to just stop it. Put him back in the goofy looking room with a stool and let him talk on the phone with Brett Favre so he feels better.

ESPN vs. NFLN, imo
Commentary: NFLN > ESPN
Graphics (Ticker, BPA info, etc.): ESPN > NFLN (not even close).

Nope
I think McDaniels fully intends to keep the 3 tight ends he has now. Graham an every play guy. Sheffler added on long third downs and maybe two minute drills. Quinn on short yardage and goal lines.
How much easier will it be to punch it in with what amounts to 7 blockers on the line and a hard hitting fullback all making room for Moreno?

he is a ball hawk also

Hopefully Dawkins can groom
McBath and Barrett into stars though

Yeah
That’s what I have been thinking about.

McBath
but again, there’s bias there because I was all over him at TTU. He always seemed to be in on plays and was a hell of a disruptive force.
Johnson was good, but my preference is McBath. I just wouldn’t have taken him in the second round.

but
how many guys went where they should this draft?

Exactly.
I think draft value is always talked about, but this round is showing me that maybe we weren’t so off our rockers yesterday.

have you read today's horsetracks? Great P.O.V.

We actually seem to be ahead of the curve
The Pats seem to have scored pretty big this year but they don’t have the holes that we have. I think the futher this goes on the better we’re looking. Other teams seem to be treading water more than improving

I don't they
both have great ball skills and I also believe they both started their careers as CB. I am going to say McBath because he was the player we picked

Don't Forget Barrett
can lean under Dawkins and Hill Also

you gotta love getting a DIFFERENT
kind of yong safety than what we have. Barrett at SS, McBath at FS, and they can help each other out.

Ted said that Barrett is more the SS, McBath clearly the FS. Good pair, perhaps
Hillis/Moreno in '09
I agree.
McBath is a prototypical deep coverage safety, EXACTLY what I’ve wanted.

I had Mckenzie rated very highly for Denver
goes to patriots. I’m going to tke that as a good sign. I have to tweak my player evaluations badly, but looks like I did ok on Dline and LB

as strange as giving $41.7 million guaranteed to a player who hasn't played a down?

He’ll be throwing in the vicinity of Iglesias. He doesn’t have great hands, so he’s going to have to impale him to make this a worthwhile pick.
