Cincy has gotten some talent

with their first 3 picks. They’ve also added 3 character concerns, good for a team with a locker full of character concerns lol.

I have to ask, who is Abigail Fuller?

I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.

I was going to counter by mentioning the heiress of the Krispy Kreme fortune

but sadly her name remains quietly surpressed by the Biscotti mob family.

my big board

is clearing of a rate of about 4-1 right now. That is, 4 players I don’t give a flip about to one player who fits.

The great news is that a bunch of the best prospects remain untouched….

That's the real facinating thing about the draft to me...

everyone has their own board. One of the telling things from McD’s presser yesterday was that a lot of guys on his board were flying off late in the second round, while Mel’s/Mayock’s best available went virtually unchanged. The teams have the access, their boards were much different than the pundits. Another huge reason it’s to damn tough to judge a draft.

So I know a few of us stayed up laaaaate last night combing through the prospect lists and looking for guys we might like.

My question is…who do you want? What are people’s favorite prospects remaining? What direction do you think the team should go? Styg, Luigs is already understood =p

FWIW

I also have a serious liking for Brandon Tate. His return ability is wicked enticing, especially because he plays a position where he wouldn’t see the field much, so it wouldn’t take away from any potential return duties.

Ok, odd things I want to comment on:

1) I think it is great that the Armour All commercial features a song from School House Rock (“Verb”)

2) Is it just me, or is the chick in the Alka Seltzer Commercial kind of cute? (“What kind of girl do you think I am, exactly?” I know what kind of girl I hope she is!)

3) I know a lot of folks don’t like Chucky, but I’ll take an NFL coach’s thoughts over a talking head any day.

4) NFLN blows ESPN’s coverage out of the water. Much more serious. (As I speak, Chucky is beating the snot out of his broadcast partner AGAIN!)

5) There is a difference between some of the folks on the site who disagree with Denver’s draft strategy and back it up, and the guys that just spew negativity and try to pass themselves off as fans.

6) I’m not a Treckie, but I am SO there for the movie.

7) Those Golden Corral commercials make me hungry.

8) I hate fluff in sports broadcasting (or in any news), but the big head hijinx on NFLN last night was very, very funny!

That is all.

I’ve always liked Gruden, cept when he was Malfoy to Davis’s Voldy.

He does lay the coach persona on a bit thick at times, but when you win a SB so handily by DESTROYING the Raiders, you’re my best friend FOREVER.

I really am growing weary

of this ESPN broadcast. I don’t have NFLN, so I don’t really have the option, but I can tell you that the constant struggle for air-time is dragging the show down. Chris Mortensen, ESPN’s Mr. Investigative Reporter, keeps trying to inject himself into the conversation with the big kids and Jaws is just chewing him up and Mort seriously needs to just stop it. Put him back in the goofy looking room with a stool and let him talk on the phone with Brett Favre so he feels better.

Nope

I think McDaniels fully intends to keep the 3 tight ends he has now. Graham an every play guy. Sheffler added on long third downs and maybe two minute drills. Quinn on short yardage and goal lines.

How much easier will it be to punch it in with what amounts to 7 blockers on the line and a hard hitting fullback all making room for Moreno?

Deon Butler in the third round.

This is getting crazy. How can analysts stand on a soapbox and holler about Denver HAVING TO DRAFT A QB AND NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY’RE DOING when all of these teams are SERIOUSLY reaching for WRs.

31 teams believe that crap that next years picks aren't as valuable...

well

if you wanted a CB or WR this round, your SOL. Of course, we took care of DB early (including one of the best out there), and we already rock tits off with our current WR corp, so I can’t say that I mind…

Quick thought: If any of you have watched A. Smith (our new CB) doesn’t he look a little like he could be flexed to WR??

I don’t like him as a prospect and I didn’t like him in college. If he plays for a smaller school, we never think twice about him, imo.

by gnarlybroncodude on Apr 26, 2009 9:55 AM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

but there’s a bit of a talent difference in Ryan and Hoyer, lol. It’s easy to fall in love with a kid like Ryan because his talent JUMPS out at you. Hoyer’s doesn’t.

by SlamDunkTheFunk on Apr 26, 2009 9:56 AM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I was not Comparing

Hoyer to Ryan, You were questioning McShays Judgement. Also Hoyer is a good QB in a bad system with bad WR. I Read a lot about his WR droping like 5-10 balls a game and that is what made him look bad

by gnarlybroncodude on Apr 26, 2009 9:57 AM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I know you weren't comparing them

I’m just saying it’s easier to love Ryan. Most everyone did. And yes, Hoyer’s receivers dropped something like 48 passes this past season, which is Chicago Bears bad.

by SlamDunkTheFunk on Apr 26, 2009 9:58 AM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree it is easier
