As a Bronco Fan I would liek to introduce you to something we will be seeing a lot of this season, Thunder and Lightning.

Offense:

Ball on the Ground:

Thunder: Peyton Hillis- 250lbs. of sheer thunder running the rock. This kid is not afraid to take a defender or 10 HEAD ON. he knows who will will when the ground starts rumblin'.

Lightning: Knowshon Moreno- Agility, leaping, elusivness, you name it he has it. the rumor is lightning never STRIKES twice, Knowshon will score at least two touchdowns. Moreno is the epitome of "lightning from the ground."

Ball in the Air:

Thunder: Brandon Marshall- does anyone doubt his "thunderness"? Brandon is a rumbler with the ball in his hands. His after the catch skills rival Boldin, Fitzgerald, T.O. you name it he is a thunder wide out.

Lightning: Eddie Royal- Need I say more than game one at oakland, or the 90 friggin yard touchdown in cleveland? Lightning so fast you never saw it strike but you can feel the after effects.

Defense:

Ball on the Ground:

Thunder: DJ Williams/ Elvis Dumervil- Where ever you place these two they are sure to cause some havoc. Thunder is a feeling and these gentlemen will make you feel...PAIN! nothing like have two of the most athletic at their positions staring you down from the other side of the snap.

Lightning: Brian Dawkins- Dawkins can definately create the "POP" effect you never saw coming, his quick strike capability will hurt most opposing offenses.

Ball in the Air:

Thunder: Brian Dawkins- Can you hear those footsteps? think twice about catching that ball my friend!

Lightning: Champ Bailey- "Dude I swear, the ball was in my hands!" Claerly it wasn't because Champ is in the endzone. Sometimes you just have to know the ball belongs to Champ Bailey. There is a reason that there is a Facebook groub called "2/3 of the earth is coverd with water the other 1/3 is covered by Champ Bailey!" see here

I think Moreno is also a mole

he has a nose for the end zone! Perhaps more than anything, I’ve missed a guy who knows how to get in the ZONE!!!! Between him and Hillis, I expect more running TDs, baby!!!!

My friend,

May I make a slight revision to your use of a storm analogy, at least on the defense?

Do we have thunder and lightning? Oh yes. But my friend, Brian Dawkins is not thunder. No. Brian Dawkins is not lightning. Oh no.

Brian Dawkins is a Tsunami. He changes the face of the planet when he takes the field. He destroys lives on the offense. And when the game is over, entire islands have perished.

And Bailey? Bailey is Death riding in on the Pale Horse to pick up the footballs left in the Tsunami’s wake.

Just sayin.

I am surprised HT didn't tell you to be original...

He is apparently not big on recycling nicknames from other teams per the draft day thread… all in good fun!

Didn’t L. White get all bent out of shape last season when the media began calling Stewart and Williams thunder and lightning? I happen to agree with HT here… let’s be more original now that we have more than 10 seconds to post… (snicker, snicker)

I’ve been doing my best to come up with something original… so far…

Rumblin’ Cowbell? – still has a “thunder” edge to it – but then again Rumblin’ Redneck is a nice little alliteration… that keeps the thunder edge… but will this offend Hillis?
