Was up, Broncos fans? Us Steelers fans over at Behind the Steel Curtain are having our own mock draft. I was the guy who did who the Broncos would pick. Now, I wanted to pick Aaron Maybin, but the Bills (guy right in front of me) took him. Check it out. I picked Michael Johnson because Everette Brown, Brian Orakpo, Aaron Maybin, and B.J. Raji were all taken. I feel for you after losing Cutler. But that baby was acting like a total b***h. I guess you get some great picks, but OUCH! that has got to hurt. Losing your star player (no disrespect to Marshall or former best player Champ Bailey).

Michael Johnson?!?!?!

That, sir, is a ridiculous reach. The guy is far more likely to be drafted with the 12th pick in the SECOND round than at #12 overall. Going by your mock, Tyson Jackson (DE, LSU) or Rey Maualuga (ILB, USC) would be the pick there with Knowshon Moreno (RB, Georgia) as a darkhorse. Heck, most of the potential first round pick RB and WR would be better than Johnson right there!

OMG, ejruiz and Broncoman agree, what is the world coming to

There is no way Michael Johnson would go that high and I seriously doubt Denver would draft him, he is a classic 4-3 end, and we are switching to a 3-4, we already have a roster full of under achieving 4-3 ends trying to transition to a 3-4 OLB, adding another one would not be the way to go.

Thats a tough spot you got put in

Knowing the desperate need at D line but having almost all of them go off the board. There is No way the draft actually plays out like that though, Stafford will be gone before then, maybe not to one of those teams but someone like the Jets will trade up for him, and Sanchez is probably gone too. Still, Johnson is a bit of a reach and I’d take Maualuga there. would have liked to have Malcolm Jenkins, as he can develop into a top corner, and while Champ is still here he has the versatility to play where-ever we need him in the secondary, but I see he was already gone.
