Melo = Good Example. Cutler = Bad Example.
This is pretty much my thoughts on Cutler ...
Shannon Sharpe said (head coach Mike) Shanahan wanted to trade him when he took over and it made Sharpe mad and he went out and channeled that anger into hard work and wanting to prove Shanny wrong. Now he's going to be in the Hall of Fame someday soon after revolutionizing the tight end position.
Cutler had the same thing happen here and he ran away from it instead of facing it like a man and taking on the challenge of proving McDaniels wrong. I don't want a QB who runs from anything except 300 lb nose tackles!
I wrote this to a buddy in an email yesterday morning.
I also compared Cutler to the Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony over at Pickaxe and Roll ... as some of you may know and remember ... Melo was the subject of trade rumors in the offseason and handled himself a bit different in the spotlight.
Cruise over to Pickaxe and Roll to see the photo I snapped at the Nuggets vs. Jazz game last night in support of Orton!
Welcome Kyle Orton!

Couldn’t agree more. Melo handled his trade talk situation infinitely better than Cutler. I’m not saying it has anything to do with it, but Melo is still in Denver and his team is currently leading their division and on pace for a #2 seed in the Western Conference. Who knows if similar results could have transpired had Cutler handled things like a professional should.
