Undeniable 3-tech talent.

From GM Stovie47:  With the 24th Pick , the Atlanta Falcons pick First Team All American, DT Peria Jerry of Ole Miss. 

 

The Falcons must continue to build their defense to match their strong offense. After losing a number of veteran defensive players in free agency, Jerry will allow the Falcons to build from the inside out. 

 

Jerry is very athletic with terrific speed, great strength, and he really fires off the ball. His feet are excellent, his rushing techniques are well developed, and his long arms help him keep an offensive lineman's hands off of him. He will be the next in a line of outstanding, young Falcon defensive linemen.  

Commish's Thoughts:   I'm expecting that Jerry will get targeted by a 4-3 team, where he could start right away as their explosive 3-tech DT.  This would be a solid pick for the Falcons that can help them maintain their momentum from last year.  Maybe Hillis pounding on them got them thinking along these lines?  It won't be the last team that cahnges to compensate for lessons learned from him....
