I would go for that bronco first round.
My image is the Circa 1960-’61 Broncos home uniform sock. Some what folk lore to me ... but referred to as the clown sock by my Dad.

It would certainly BEEF UP our middle
Especially if you consider Dawkins at Safety. We would instantly have a powerful attitude in the middle of the field for the next several years with our #12 and #18 wouldn’t we? I can only dream that it falls this way.
Also, I can really see Sanchez going to St. Louis at #2 if he keeps impressing in his individual workouts. I guess his intagibles are off the charts.
That is pretty good
Everyone knows I want Moreno. I would take him at 12 just to ensure I get him, with that said…if this was our first three picks, I would be happy!
Good job TopNation
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast
Definetly a dream scenario for Denver
Im sure if somehow Raji could drop to us at 12 we would be stoked!!! The truth is I actually can see it now that reports of marijuana use has been rampant, as the same thing has happened in previous years…even all the way back to Warren Sapp who dropped out of the top ten to around the area of 12 because of reports of pot. I also think Raji may experience a type of Clady effect who last year at this time had his stock soaring and Denver didnt seem to have any chance at drafting him but he still fell to us
I would also be excited to get Rey. He is definetly a tone setter and he can bring back the big hits and excitement to the broncos, and at 18 would be great value as I was hopping we may get him at 12 before the whole Cutler trade.
A final idea I have been thinking of in regards to a QB is what about Chase Daniel later in the draft? He seems to be a great leader who can get the most out of his team and with McDaniels help maybe we could make Chase a great QB!!
On To Victory!!!
I think Daniel will be an UFA
I can’t see him here in Denver. I just think his physical limitations are too “tall” of a hill to climb.
I think you did a good job
Heaven knows I would never attempt to do this, but I think you messed up on the Eagle’s picks. I don’t think there is any way they will take both Beanie Wells and Knowshon Moreno. Now, if Isaiah Thomas was their GM, I could see it. However, there would be major upheaval if any franchise took two RBs in the first round.
I am not attacking you personally. I hope it didn’t come across that way. Can you tell me what you were thinking?
AAAARGH!...
You are EXACTLY right!
My bad.
I will try the edit feature and fix this huge oversight (actually, who cares about the Eagles anyway? – just kidding!).
If Moreno was STILL available in the late 20's
I’d trade back into the 1st round to get him. By points, our 2nd and one of our 3rd’s should be enough.
Time to galvanize
I agree,
this would be a dream scenarion for Denver. The stars would really have to align for us. Somehow, I don’t think Raji will drop to us, but I didn’t think Clady would drop to us last year. I also really want Rey, and him dropping to 18 will take a lot of luck. I don’t think Barwin or Brace will drop to us at 48. So, I was thinking maybe a Rey and Brace in the 1st. According to the rankings, that would be a reach for Brace, but would have a similar effect on the middle of our line. Another scenario is I was thinking about is Rey and Barwin in the 1st round. Again, according the the rankings that would be a reach, but he looks so good and, like I said, I don’t think he will drop. If we went Rey, Brace, and Gilbert in 1-2 (again, possibly a reach for Gilbert), that would be a big improvement to our front seven. We have quite a few OLB prospects, so I am not convinced that the need is greater than it is at NT, RDT, and ILB. If we are looking for a versatile LB, like Cushing, I would say we have one in DJ Williams. It would be nice to have another, but maybe there is someone in the 3rd that we could develop. So, the scenarios I have been playing with are Raji, Rey, Gilbert; Rey, Brace, Gilbert; Rey, Barwin, Gilbert. The players in the last two scenarios are almost certain to be there according to the rankings that I have been able to read. Anyone have any thoughts one what good OLBs might be there in the 3rd?
Way too much of a reach on these scenarios.
IF we could trade back to the end of the round or to the top of the 2nd, we could pull these off and gain an extra mid-round pick or three. Not a bad idea as the true value for dollar is probably from #15 through the 2nd round this year.
He is great, but...
… NOT at that price. We would have to give up our #12 and #18 to get to #2 or #3 and I doubt we want that as we have too many holes to fill on D. I think we are stout enough (IF we bulk up with Rey) and have too little currently on the D-Line.
JMHO
No
Trading up for a defender would be a nice luxury for a team that only has one or two needs to fill, but we have multiple, and we need the picks.
