Requesting Help

So  I found a movie making program that came with my computer and I started to think about what I could do with it. For the longest time I have wanted to make a highlight reel with my own music. Then I got the idea of making one long highlight reel but instead of doing it for one player, I want to make it for our whole draft class. So now the only thing that I need is the film which is what I need help with. If any of you know where I can download the 2008 season for each of our draftees and maybe some ufas I would really appreciate if you tell me where. Also, as you can imagine this is going to be a huge time-consuming project so if any of you want to help me just let me know. Thank you and long live MHR!

youtube might be a source...

and a lot of the different schools have websites with high-lite video’s just make sure you don’t dip into the ugly world of plagiarism. I think that’s how it’s spelled. Reference everything if it’s needed. Just a thought

hmmmmm . . .

maybe try the college websites & see if they have video clips, also there are a number of links to clips here on MHR, not sure where they lead to

there may also be some video converter software out there for free that could convert youtube videos to a usable format for your program.

but then i may just be whistling in the dark since I’m on a mac and not on a pc

another idea

I’ve got a utility program called “Get Tube” on my mac that will snag the source file from youtube videos and save them as quicktime files.

Might be worth digging around to see if there’s a PC equivalent.

I'm not exactly proud to say it

but I know a few things about bootlegging and stuff…What you’ll need to do first is download Firefox if you haven’t already, then go to extensions/add ons, and download Amazing Media Browser. Then go to Youtube or whatever and use AMB to download the videos.

try torrents

this link will describe the process of getting started with torrents in general, and all of the things I mention are directly applicable to TenYardTorrents.com, which I use almost exclusively to watch games.

TYT Rocks

Been a member for 3 years now, it’s fantastic.

Unfortunately TYT is down for maintenance right now, it should be back up in a few days.

A word of caution.

I hate to be a spoil sport but all images are copyrighted and owned by their creator. I’m not saying that putting a little something together for you and a few friends is wrong, but i have noticed a tendency from the computer savy crowd to treat protected property as their own. One of these days I expect somebody’s going to get bit on the…, well, you know.

Just be careful.

for the love of all that is good

DO NOT use eminem music

I honestly hate all highlight reels with music. i’d rather just listen to nats/announcers

Thank you!

Holy crap, if I hear another 50 Cent song or anything with “Slim Shady” in it, I’ll stab myself in the arm.
