What is this Canadia you speak of. Sounds exotic. :D

Mornin nyc, Thank You
Real Power, comes with the realization that One cannot change the Moment;
only ones perception of it: Atitude! JQM
like this part:
Give Chicago GM Jerry Angelo this: He took a giant step to correct Chicago’s unstable situation at quarterback. Bears’ fans want to portray Josh McDaniels and Brian Xanders as modern-day Harry Frazees, but I’d be careful, people: Cutler hasn’t had a winning season since high school. Sure, he has a raft of talent, throws a pretty pass and piles up yardage. So did Jeff George. Cutler also has a 17-20 record as a starter and couldn’t close the deal a year ago when one win the last three weeks — one lousy win — would’ve put the Broncos in the playoffs.
The question for me is this: Will Cutler handle the winter winds in Chicago better than he handled this spring’s trade rumors? If not, get ready for more whining. I also want to see who serves as Brandon Marshall. I mean, Eddie Royal. How about Brandon Stokley? I smell trouble. Second City has a lot of third receivers.
Finally, someone in the MSM actually analyzing Cutler beyond “strong arm must be good” [should sound like a zombie.. mmm BRAINSSSS]
damned!
I should have finished the article… the one two sections below about Shanahan go back to the norm, sonuva!
That's a good nugget there!
One of the MSM finally visited the Oracle at Delphi…..
A proud prognostication of 10-6 in 2009!!!

I love how you guys/gals are now taking stock in your team! I come to you with alot of personal experience in trading the “franchise player:” Not that long ago my team committed the first “how dare you trade that star player” mistake. We handed the Vikings and the Saints our “very best players” and we got alot of draft picks for them. People ridiculed us, called us names (thank goodness the internet wasn’t around) and said that we would regret it until the day we died. For a while, they were right and we were miserable and those two “winning teams” were taking us to task. Eventually. the luster came off and the realization sat in:they’d been scammed! Those cities fell inlove with those players and proclaimed they had won, only to discover that we HAD THE LAST LAUGH! Denver, stop letting the other fans try to down you and say that you made a mistake because I actually think you made your team better. It will take time, but you will turn the table! Remember, they laughed at us too and look what happened 3 years later! Your coach is not any different than the one that we had:young and with no professional head coaching experience… and he did it! The trade has an opportunity to repeat itself so make yourself the benefiaciary of a dynasty… you can do this because we did it!

The stadium name
Thing remains a sore spot with me.
If named anything other than “Mile High”, rightfully it should be named “Taxpayer Field”.
Glad to see that Jerry Jones gets that, at least.

I’m not trying to start a war of any sort; however, the guys over at WCG are having a little Broncos bashing party:
http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2009/5/13/874158/ortons-job-in-jeopardy
Probably no point in responding to any of it as those guys have clearly made up their minds. We’ll just have to prove them wrong.
"C" is for Championship...that's good enough for meeeee!!!
Yeah...not worth it...
let them have their party – if they want to be willfully ignorant then it isn’t worth the energy.
If we had really wanted Quinn, we would have gotten him when we were trading Cutler. (Lord knows there were enough rumors of a three-way trade).
The ESPN Insider section mentioned in the WCG comments doesn’t even mention the Broncos. Period. Neither did Yahoo! Sports report on the same “super-secret-leaked-insider-info-rumor-trade.” The only thing I could even find relating the Broncos to Quinn was a Klis remark in an April story that they had inquired, but were now looking at trading up for Sanchez. Obviously this was before the draft, and obviously we decided our QB situation wasn’t dire enough to work that.
Why is this suddenly the hot rumor coming out now? Honestly it just sounds like the Brown’s way of reassuring that Quinn is valued in Cleveland. So valued that they staunchly refused very serious 1st-round pick trade offers. Just their way of telling Quinn that he’s their guy and doesn’t have to worry about Anderson. I think it’s funny WCG is going to town on a rumor

yeah…probably just the result of needing some NFL story to riff on in the slowest part of the year for football.

well, with nothing new from Brett Favre in the last 48-hours
they have to talk about something. ;-)

They sound like a bunch of Tools over at WCG
They are in complete La La Land with how good they think Cutler has been and is going to be. I think he is a good QB but he still has a ton of flaws. He makes way to much mistakes to take his team to the playoffs escpecially with the supporting cast he has up there with the bears. Ortons situation kinda reminds me of Drew Brees in SD. They all thought he was good but a back up at best. Brees went to a loaded offensive team and has played better then most if not all QBs for the last 3 years
by gnarlybroncodude on May 14, 2009 4:54 PM MDT up reply actions
Well that ain't quite right
The Chargers knew Brees was special, and he was terrific in SD at the end. The problem was they couldn’t tie that much cap for two franchise QB’s and they weren’t sure about how he would he come back from the shoulder injury.

There was certainly a camp that wanted to keep Brees in SD, one which included the head coach
Though one of many, it was possibly the largest chasm in opinion between AJ and Marty.
True
One had to go, both between AJ & Marty as well as Rivers & Brees. It was too much for AJ to give up on Rivers before he had even started. If it hadn’t been that, something else would have brought it to a head. The only way it could have gone on would have been a Super Bowl in 2006; that might have healed all wounds.

Stadium Name
how much better would Broncos Stadium sound than The Big IF?
It should have stayed Mile High and the voters agreed. Wellington Webb sold the fans out, and for what? So he could show how urbane Denver is? “Look we have corporate sponsors too!”
from matt bowens article
3. Brandon Marshall, Broncos: I love his game and I love his physical play, but the verdict is still out on Marshall. I want to see what he does without Jay Cutler at quarterback.
I wonder how cutler will do without marshall?
HILLIS
+1
without that bullet zinging past him, I’ll bet Marshall wont drop near as many passes, numbness or not.

Woody thinks the bears
are going to be contenders, and the Broncos will be half-rate. Possibly. But why say it? It’s as useful as saying, “Mark my words, a major asteroid will impact earth next year. We’re all going to die, and there’s nothing we can do about it!” Is there really a point in all this nay-saying, other than bragging rights if you happen to be right? And what does THAT mean? This way, even if he’s right, his team will suck. How can one get behind a lose/lose prospect like that? Woody needs an attitude adjustment. Will KoolAid stay sealed in a cardboard box in the mail?
