So which Jersey do you get?
I was looking at the AFL 50th Jersey today trying to decide who I would like to get. And it got me wondering? Who represents our team the best right now? Does Brandon with his recent interview? Does Eddie with his continued commitment to the fans? Dawkins Bailey for Leadership? or Moreno for the fresh new look? Here are the options as they stand right now:
Marshall?
Royal?
Dawkins?
Moreno?
Bailey?
Customizable
I am inclined to buy a Royal jersey but I figured I would ask the populace here and see what you think?

Got to roll with Knowshon
Might as well get a Knowshon jersey now, so that when he is Rookie of the Year, and rolled for 1500+ yds, it won’t look like I’m just jumpin on the bandwagon!

I would get a Dawkins jeresy if I was going to buy something like that.....
I have a new policy to not buy jerseys until they are almost retired

That is also My policy kind of
Current Jersey Stack:
Nike: Davis Elway Sharpe McCaffrey Smith
Reebok: Davis Darrent Williams (hands down a class act in my mind see my profile and you will know why I have one)
But these AFL’s are actually pretty cool I was also thinking Dumervil or DJ this one is hard because we may never pull them out again so I can give on the “current player” thing

exactly why I got my Royal duds.
same with Marshall. I’m SO glad I didn’t spend the cheese on the Cutler jersey back in December…I’d be pissed!

I like that, too
It was a real toss up for me, but Royal was high on my list.

Voted for Champ
just for his track record as a Bronco, but I would love any one of them, to be honest. I have only one jersey right now that I will acknowledge — an old beat-to-sh*t #30. (My lovely but misguided wife bought me a Griese jersey that doesn’t see much daylight. lol )

He was drafted by Denver and is the most talented offensive skill position player we have.

I would hold out for White
I think the yellow jerseys are absolutely atrocious, so I would hold out for a white one, in which case I would go old school times two and get Peyton Hillis. Old school style player, old school jersey.

Why not Cutler
After all, McD has one! HA

I am biased towards the orange. I dislike the piss yellow jerseys with the poo brown. We are gonna look like the bottom of a toilet. Go with an orange Royal jersey and call it a day.

You can find a royal jersey.
I got one.
If not, just get an orange custom and put 19 and royal on it. Easy.

ha ha its not that i cant actually get one
its that with the turnover in the NFL its hard to get a jersey. I had a Mike Anderson given to me and that season we sent him to Baltimore. I have a Plummer jersey too and that season we benched him for “He must not be named”

well then don't get one.
That’s just how it is. If you want a guy with staying power, get a teddy bruschi jersey or something. That’s the only dude I know that has been around for a long time with one team.
You could get a clady jersey. I bet that guy will be around forever.

Due to the reject jerseys I have in my closet...
…probably not any current player. The Cutler, Walker, Portis, and Romo jerseys are currently dust collecting. Yeah, Romo gets a wear every once in a while due to the SB victories, but he was a Faider for a while, so I dunno. Why waste the money on a jersey for a guy who may only be here for a couple of years? There’s very little loyalty anymore in the NFL on both sides, team and player.
I’d prolly rather have one for Elway, Atwater, Mecklenburg, T.Davis, Sharpe or some of the other greats, like T.Jackson, Gradishar, Little, etc. At least we know they bled Orange and Blue.

by SinDonor on May 23, 2009 3:15 PM MDT up reply actions 0 recs
I would still don a Plummer jersey.
He was never a bad player for us. He had his mistakes, but Shanny cut him off unfairly, and even with all that, Jake still has nothing but good things to say about the Broncos organization, and Denver. To me, that’s a solid guy.

We actually tried to see if we could exchange it for Cutler, but they didn’t have any…thank God. If I didn’t have one though I would wait for Marshall to sign a long term deal and then get his.

How can you all pass on that smile?
I know Brandon has been in a bit of trouble, but he is a freak. Remember his 18 catches in his first game last year. Then i hear him talking about how he played hurt all last year, and I get pretty excited. I say the Brandon we saw that week will be back for 16 more this year. Or maybe 14,13,12, but whatever he is still a FREAK

I’m hoping he signs with us next year for a long term contract. Maybe the broncos will slap the franchise on him????

I think Brandon will not only stay a Bronco
but with the guidance of Rod Smith, he will be in the RoF when he retires. He and Royal really are the second coming of Smith/Eddie Mac.
I know BMarsh has been in some trouble, but he’s obviously doing something right because no punishment’s been handed down from Commish yet, and even with him missing a game last year, he came in full force, and didn’t ever stop. To think, he had a Pro Bowl year WITH an injury, imagine him when he’s running at 100%. Combine that with his great team attitude, he’ll be a Bronco as long as he wants to be.

That is what really impressed me about his play last year
There is no doubt the guy is a competitor and he leaves it all on the field. For that reason I would get a Marshal jersey, plus, and I know that some people hate receivers with teens for numbers, I absolutely LOVE his number for some reason. Too me it is already iconic.

WOW!
Cannot believe that has escaped me to this point!
Kind of interesting the similarities in their off court issues, at least in the sense that they both have them, and yet how similar they can be in terms of sheer dominance! It is a bit of an odd number for all of sports, and yet interesting how parallel the two players that wear the number in Denver are.

I have a cousin with at least 3 autographed Cutler jerseys (OUCH)! I agree its a tough decision. My daughter and I both have R. Smith jerseys, even though she doesn’t know who he is (yet). I was thinking about getting a hoodie, but I’d get a Moreno AFL jersey.

Im still not sure
I know I’ll be getting an orange jersey, but im still stuck between 3 players
Dawkins, Royal or Moreno…
I love Dawkins’ attitude and leadership, but I’m not sure how long he will be around.
Royal is just awesome, but with McD you never know how long someone will stay unless he was brought in by McD himself.
Moreno is looking to be a great back, but maybe he’ll just fail….
Blegh…difficult choice :P

I think Dawkins
will be in Denver the rest of his career. He may resign with the Eagles so he can retire with that team, but his playing days will be spent with us. We did sign him for 5 years, if I remember right.

Gotta be MORENO!! You can wear that Jersey for next 10 - 12 years...
Since I already have Champ in Blue and Orange, DJ in White, TD in Blue & “7” in White , the only one I really want now is 27 baby! Knowshon is going to be so good for Denver that everyone that follows football is going to go “Damn – that Moreno is special!”

Thowback White Jersey!
I agree with sayre. I am holding out on buying a new jersey until the throwback white road jerseys we will wear at San Diego become available for sale. I like they way they look and I can’t bring myself to buy something as ugly as the home throwback jerseys. Haven’t decided on which player to get though. I also plan to get the reebok blue t-shirt with Royal’s name and number on it. I really like the jersey t-shirts reebok started making a few years ago and I have bought several of those and it is a lot cheaper than a jersey plus looks great also but I will be buying a throwback road jersey when they become available-probably 15, 19, or 27!!
