What are you guys gonna do Aug.30?

I was thinking about this the other day and wanted to get some feedback.  In case you are not aware, August 30 is when the Chicago Bears and their shiny new Quarterback comes to town.  I know it's only preseason, but it is the 3rd preseason game so all the starters should play a lot.  I was wondering how you would or will react when Cutler comes running on the field.  I won't be going to the game but of course would love to be there to see the reaction.  I assume it will be a lot of boos as it should be.  How about the old newspaper trick every time the Bears are on O.  I just hope the fans keep it civil.  Do you have any ideas?

I am usually civil when a player i dislike comes out on to the field.

not this time.

How about

Chanting our QB’s name every time JC’s under center?

In reality, IMHO, he’s no longer relevant to the Denver Broncos so why treat him any different than we would any other opposing quarterback?

Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, and hope you come down somewhere between the two.

sorry dude-

but easily half of every broncos discussion ends up being related to cutler, at least on this fan site. i think he is extremely relevant. while i do NOT agree he is currently a franchise quarterback because of his lack of wins and limited number of years in the league, i do believe he had the potential to be great, and therefore make the team that surrounds him great.

for the past 3 seasons we have framed the broncos with cutler as a primary piece of the argument. now that He is gone, the question will always linger, what would this team have looked like with cutler?
the answer could be any number of things, but the point is, the question still lingers.

i am on the west coast, so i will be at a much more civil preseason game, where they visit the niners. but i wouldn’t boo cutler. yet.

I think my comment was misconstrued

I’m not a Cutler hater, nor a Cutler supporter.

I agree that the question of how great he might have become in the new system will always linger. But to my mind, it’s a moot point. He isn’t a Bronco any more, and while I wish him all of the success that he can achieve in his career, on a personal level, I don’t really have much of an interest in him any longer.

My point was simply that I don’t see that he should be treated any differently than any other quarterback who comes in to lead his team against the Broncos.

I don’t believe he deserves to be booed any more than anyone else, and I’m hoping Denver fans will choose to expend more energy in cheering on the new guys than on anything else.

Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, and hope you come down somewhere between the two.

I'm with you!

More important things to spend the energy on. Heh, maybe I’m just older with less energy to go around.

Sure, cheer the D . . .

to plant his head into the turf as many times as it takes to get him pulled for his own protection – within the rules of course. Where’s Romo when you need him?

I'll be focused on the Broncos..

and all the new faces. Anxious to see how it goes together. And this might give a glimpse of the furture……

I guess we'll see

How the fans react at the big IF stadium. What ever happens, Jay has earned with his behavior. I, however will not be in attendance, so will not be tempted to any embarrassing action. The Denver fans are by and large, a classy bunch, so it is possible that thy will take the high road. It all depends on the depth of betrayal they feel.

MOST Denver fans are a classy bunch.

A couple of “think-for-yourselfers” could ruin it. I hope we take the high road. I don’t care for Jay’s actions, and I hate the circumstances, but thank God it’s only pre-season!

Yes, I’m hung up on this issue. Its really my only issue. But I think its big…and largely ignored.

Fortunately, I didn’t was any money on the Cutler crap.

Me?

As for me, I’ll be preparing for one of those oh-so-fun overnight flights back to New York, hoping they don’t lose my luggage again. But I will fully support the planting of Cutler in the turf on as many occasions as possible.

/is one of those bitter people who wasted money on Cutler crap

I love Greg Reynolds. Deal with it, suckers.

I for one

…will be LMAO every time Cutler’s @$$ hits ground because he no longer has our O-line protecting him.

Sorry, this guy is a class A jerk. The way he handled himself for our team was despicable and repulsive. He should be derided at every opportunity.

There is a line of course…no bodily injury (by us as fans…if he gets injured by a player, well that’s the game man) or truly foul insults, but otherwise it is all good.

I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.

I can see them singing " hey hey good bye"

when he gets sacked.
