FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS PART 2

Is it better to be loved by them or bashed by them?

Almost every magazine, paper, or website has an opinion on the Broncos off season.  Mostly negative.  The article " The McDaniels Way" by Dan Parr in the latest issue of Pro Football Weekly does just that.  In fact it includes a laundry list of items that he feels were "bizarre".  "Rather than redeeming self on the big stage, make boneheaded decisions on Draft Day, most notably giving up No. 1 draft pick next year for second-rounder this year, and spend it on a 5-foot8-7/8 cornerback who isn't tall enough or fast enough to be a No. 1 corner."

If that doesn't get Mr. Smith motivated, nothing will.  He goes on to talk about Moreno.  "The Broncos could have used a defender more than a runner here, but Moerno is talented and will immediately become the team's No. 1 ballcarrier."

Isn't the whole idea of the draft to improve your team?  Just a crazy thought.  He goes on to say that the "the honeymoon period" has ended.

So that was the negative side of the MSM, but I can't end without a little bit of positive.  In the May 11th issue of The Sporting News", they give all 32 teams a grade as weel as a grade for each pick.  They gave the Broncos an"A" (the highest in the AFC West).  Including A's for Moren, Ayers, And an A+ for Smith.

So I aske the great members of MHR, what is better: to be loved or bashed?

By the way I'm a long time writer, but a first time writer.  I wanted to get this off my chest after reading other posts (and enjoying them).  I also want to be one of the many to thank MHR for doing a great job in maintaining such a wonderful site.  It certainly is an oasis in the MSM desert.
