Ugh
I feel like such a huge man-baby, but I get all choked up when I see that friggin play from the Green Bay Superbowl. You could feel the weight of all those embarrassing SB losses on John’s shoulders, and there was no way he was going to let that happen again.
Great work today, NYC!

I could watch Elway videos all day.
I still can’t believe that on the top ten clutch QBs he was #2. I mean no offense to Montana, but Elway was better in this category. TD’s comment at the beginning of the video says it all.
Also, Bob Golic’s comment was priceless: “If John Elway has 47 comebacks, they why is it that all you guys always ask about The Drive.” Love it.

Ranking all players in a big list like Schrager did
is inherently stupid. You’re comparing apples to oranges a lot of the time, because roles aren’t considered. Schrager is okay as a writer of fan-perspective opinions, but I haven’t ever seen anything out of him to indicate that he is qualified to evaluate line play.
And I’ll even double down on what my man NYC said here, and say that Ryan was easily the best Tackle, and definitely one of the top 10 players in the NFL last season.

The Bly 49er article seems to be mising alot of substance. He really triple underlined the preseason game? C’mon, well i guess if he is 2nd or 3rd team he will get alot of playing time =D

Watch your Back Brandster
Right now Dre Bly is spending hours in the film room watching Brandster’s every move from college to highschool. When that one opportune moment happens, he can pounce on the football like a mongoose and show the world he truly is an elite cornerback once again.

A proud prognostication of 10-6 in 2009!!!

Re: John Elway
Who the F was number one?!?!? Please don’t tell me its John Unitas cause thats just garbage! Joe Montana was clutch in the Super Bowl, but where else? (other than MNF against Elway. lol)

If Montana..
had been the QB on the teams Elway took to the SB, his career would have been over in 5 years. He would have never been able to take the pounding from having a weak offensive line, notrunning game to speak of and no name recievers.
Elway was the best clutch QB I have ever seen for being able to win against all the odds. Was he the most consistent technician in the game? No, he wasn’t. But he could win in situations that no other QB ever would have been able to manage.
Its what makes him the greatest ever.

It was Montana.
Tom Brady was #3. If it had been him I would have puked.

What the hell Ryan Harris??
See, this is why offensive linemen can’t talk to the media. Can we revoke that rule already?

Anyone Notice
The Baltimore “journalist” ragging on Elway? His comment basically was that because Elway came up short in 3 superbowls he’s unworthy of being the best clutch QB ever.
Stay classy Baltimore.

Good Dawkins
reports, including the one on the Post. Though— remind me again why I ever bother to read the comments under the articles there? They just make me appreciate this place that much more, I guess, though they also make me want to gouge my eyes out with a sharp pencil.
Anyway, thanks as always NYC!

The Posts
are like candy corn, you try it even though you know it tastes bad.
You know how bad it is but you find yourself on the page and this little thought comes on “Hey there are fan posts here, I wonder what they are saying…” … doh.
