What Would You Do

Let's say B Marsh's situation gets to the point of no return. Would you trade him to the Arizona Cardinals for Receiver  Anquan Boldin? Would you reunite him with our former QB in Chicago for Linebacker Lance Briggs as someone suggested? How about Draft picks?

Lance Briggs is going into his 7th  year as a WLB in a 4-3 Defense. He is good for around 7 Tackles a game and is an experienced pass defender. That does not compute to any value to the Broncos, and the Bears don't have any more draft picks that would be of interest.

Boldin however, has comparable numbers to Marshall.

In 2008:

Anquan Boldin
6'1"  217   6 yr vet. In 2008, 12 games, 89 Receptions, 1,038 yards, 86.5 yards/game, an 11.7 average, 56 1st downs, 11 TD's 4 fumbles, 3 lost.

Brandon Marshall
6'4"  230  3 yr vet. In 2008, 15 games, 104 Receptions, 1,265 yards, 84.3 yards/game, a 12.2 average, 65 1st downs, and 6 TD's, 4 fumbles, 3 lost.

Anquan has 6 years under his belt and Brandon only has 3, so lets look at the stats from 2006-2008.

Boldin 2006-2008:

40 games, 243 Receptions for  3094 yards, 77.6 yards/game, a 12.7 average, 152 1st downs and 24 TD's, 7 fumbles, 4 lost.

Marshall 2006- 2008:

46 games, 226 Receptions for  2899 yards, 63.0 yards/game, a 12.7 average, 148 1st downs, and 15 TD's, 8 fumbles,4 lost.

This looks like a pretty fair trade, statistically. I'm not sure about Boldins character, and their is a size difference. Is Boldin a #1 receiver?

Personally, I would like B Marsh to stay put and re-sign, whether it be sooner or later this season. We definitely don't need anymore drama. Since there was another post that questioned whether  Brandon should stay or go, I decided to put this out to explore some possibilities. How much value does Marshall have?
