Any Suggestions?
Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on the best way to go about getting tickets. I was born in Denver, but have lived in Maryland for the past 15 years, and for the past 5 years have flown to Denver to go see a game. I typically end up getting tickets either through ebay or a ticket website and am getting kind of tired of paying double face value for upder deck seats. I return from over-seas in September, so I am shooting for the browns. What I was wondering was if it was worth going through ticketmaster to get 4 tickets or if that would be tough to do.
I'm not trying to fish for tickets or anything. I've just been reading the MHR for the past 6 months and I definitely trust the opinions on this website, so I really just wanted to see if I could get some tips or suggestions. Thanks everyone!
Vandy

I always hooked up Sunday morning at sports bars near the stadium.
I haven’t needed tickets in about six years, but my favorite place was the place where the stadium trolly starts. I can’t remember the name, but it works like this. Go, get a table and order something. Once you’ve ordered, ask the waitress for tickets. Season ticket holders are aware of the place and either drop off their tickets sometime that week or bring them by game day. It was a first come first serve deal for paying customers. Its all legal because you get the tickets for face. I did this with great success any time I wanted to go to a game..never got shut out, always got solid tickets. If possible, ask for tickets anywhere on the first level. Even if they suck, you can find a scalper that realizes the value of the appearance of first level seating and trade out better mid field tickets a little higher up. I use to have almost as much fun wheeling and dealing and trading tickets with scalpers, and often ended up with seats to die for. My best haul was 45 yard line, first row, third level at Mile High for TD’s record breaking game. I started that day with nothing, bought awful tickets on the first level low in the corner , and ended up watching history from the best seats.

Dude!
That is what I am talking about! Awesome suggestion. Is the place you are talking about the bar that looks like the warhouse, the one I am thinking of is called the rocky mountain station, that is only open before and after the games. I would love to sit lower level, thanks a lot…I definitely appreciate it! I knew the MHR was the place to go. I was at the Tampa game last year (the one where our D looked like a real nfl D) and it seemed like scalpers were pretty eager to get rid of tickets…we will see for this year though, I am sure it will be a little bit differently with it being openinig day and all.
Yeah
Looks like a warehouse, but had a mexican name last I was there.

ticketmaster is the easiest and sometimes cheapest way to buy online.....
i have seen scalpers along federal avenue before kickoff too…..
good luck either way

I like ticketmaster..
I am just worried that I won’t be able to find 4 together. I am deployed right now and have no problem using one of my phone calls on ticketmaster, but it would suck if I didn’t end up getting the tickets. Thanks for the suggestion man, I appreciate it!
Best wishes while you are deployed
I know how long the days are while on deployment, but all the good food and good times with family and friends will be great when you get home.
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.

I think the first meal is definitely going to have to be a burrito from chipotle and a nice cold beer!

I use TicketBastard for Bears tickets
Before y’all stone me… read my profile, lol. I’m married to a big Bears fan, living in Bears country, and I love going to live games so…
Anyways, the last couple of years what we would do is this:
1) 4 of us get online and refresh the buy ticket page on the day/time that tickets go on sale
2) 4 of us on our cell phones calling non-Chicago TicketBastard numbers. This is essential as the first year we tried to get tickets, we never got through on the 312 number; it was always a busy signal or we were on hold forever. We’ve had better luck with local numbers in Boise Idaho, Fargo, etc.
3) If that failed, we’d try stubhub
Via TicketBastard you can get max 4 at a time, and they will be together. We’ve had luck and paid ~100 per ticket for fairly decent seats (lower level, corner of the endzone type) the last two years. I just hate all the “convenience” and “service” fees they tack onto everything… it’s such a racket.
Again, these are Bears tickets, so I’m not sure how much different the results would be for getting Bronco tix, but it shouldn’t be too far off, I would guess.
I am coming to Chicago when they play the Steelers (I need 3 tickets)
I too would love a link. When are the tickets available. And when should we cave in, and buy tickets through Stubhub?
lol... you guys do know...
I was just playing with the nameTicketmaster right? I call them TicketBastard, b/c I absolutely can’t stand how they ream us customers with all them service and convenience fees. Sorry, if I confused y’all…
BTW, Jeeeeens, my wife and I are also shooting for going to the Stillers game this year as our game of the year.
I believe tickets go on sale sometime in July… the Bears website usually posts an announcement sometime in the early summer.
ohhhhhhh, lol
i wanna go to that game too. but y wood u look on the bears website??

oh no no no nooooooooo
I’m a Broncos fan to the core… since 1984 baby!
But I was a cheerleader for the Bears for the last several years as … kind of, you know, husband support!
This year… I’m conflicted for obvious reasons. It also doesn’t help that my wife and our best friends are lobbying HARD for me to convert. Help me stay strong guys… help me staaaaaayyyy stroooooong.
;)
Use the Force T!
With the 12th pick, the Broncos select Knowshon Moreno - Roger Goodell
That'll move the chains - Andy Samberg
Jediiiii!!!!
(I love that sound bite of Alfred Williams when he was being told by a coach to “Go Jedi”)
