Marvin Harrison?
Anyone interested in Marvin Harrison? I know he hasn't signed with anyoen yet and he may waiting for training camps to begin, for the reason of injuries and maybe soem people aren't working out as well as the teams thought. But, given outr situation with Brandon Marshall, don't you think it'd be wise just to visit the possibility? I mean, from what I've read, he's healthy, and looking to get on a contender. I think the Broncos are on the verge of becoming a contender for the Super Bowl in next two to three years. I believe this team will need some time to gel.
I believe there is a rumor out stating the Vikings might be trying to sign him as of June 25th. I'm speculating it's the request of Brett Favre. Maybe je wouldn't even want to come here, but I haven't seen aything on it so I'm hoping someone will shed some light on it for me. Thanks.

I'm not against the possibility
He has been available for quite awhile now. I would think that if McD wanted him, then he would’ve brought Marvin in before OTA’s so he could adapt to the system, don’t you think?

I heard from a member who was around him in Florida
He mentioned that Harrison’s knees seem shot – can’t tell you more, but it’s possible.

He has slowed down considerably over the past couple of years.
I don’t think he would bring anything better than what our current crop of WR’s can bring as it sits right now, with or without BM.

The nice thing about having Harrison (especially on strong side)
he’s guaranteed to open up the rest of the receivers by having constant double coverage. Imagine your 3 TE sets then with Moreno going for the screen. Hold on to your shorts Sally, they won’t know what do with us.

Harrison
no longer commands double teams. He just doesn’t have the speed or cutting ability he once had.

No, but his hands are still good. Let's not forget he's a big reason why Peyton is Peyton.
Because the wide receivers make the quarterback great.

He WAS one of the reasons that Peyton was Peyton.
But I think SWG is right here, he’s not the same receiver. And he definitely would not demand rolling the coverage his way at this point. I don’t think it takes anything away from him to say he’s not a legitimate number 1 anymore.

We won't pay him what he thinks he's worth.
If he just wants to play I’m up for a mill or less but not a premium contract for an over the hill Harrison.

Harrison is a jerk
And a washed up one. Let the Vikings have him.
The sage is full of anxiety and indecision in undertaking anything, and so he is always successful.

Nope
It would be better to play with what we have by far even minus Marshall.
I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.

Nah
Old and too slow at this point, not to mention the character things.

Patriots
Hey if the Patriots aren’t willing to add another old veteran to their team than that probably says something about the guy.
Tis better not to throw it to the deep receiver but the open receiver.

No, Unless...
We could borrow the time machine that the Cavs will have to create to make their Shaq acquisition worthwhile…
"A player who conjugates a verb in the first person singular cannot be part of the squad, he has to conjugate the verb in the first person plural. We. We want to conquer. We are going to conquer. Using the word 'I' when you're in a group makes things complicated." ~ Wanderley Luxemburgo, 1999

+1
nice…I’ve been wondering how the Cavs were going to pull that one off, too!

They won't.
Halfway through next season, Shaq’s gonna start crying because he’s not getting the ball and he’ll be traded back to LA, but this time for the Clippers.

LOL
The big problem with Shaq is that he won’t have Pheonix’s medical staff keeping him healthy. I’m in the group of people saying he gets injured next year for sure.

I hear the winter in Cleveland is worse than PHX's.
I don’t know though, that doesn’t sound like a solid argument. We all know Cleveland doesn’t get below 50 ever.

Cleveland
Spring and Fall are very nice in Cleveland … esp the “Emerald Necklace”
BUT OH MY GOD! Winter is absolutely miserablely cold with the wind coming off the lake. It may not be below 50 but it feels like below 100. Summer is hot and humid.

haha.
I’ve been there a few times. It was crazy how much fog comes out in the morning right before sunrise.

After the shooting incident in Philly...
…there’s been some grumblings that he may not be as clean as folks once thought. I think there may be something to this because it seems odd that Indy let him go and nobody has been quick to jump for him.
If the teams in the League have some knowledge about Harrison that we don’t, this could explain why such a gifted player isn’t been sought after, nor even talked about much.

Oops.
(isn’t “being” sought after. I just couldn’t let one that bad go by…)

I think it is diminishing skills HT. They let him go so Gonzalez could step into his spot and grow as a player. I think that, regardless of his off-the-field antics, Indy would have kept him if they thought he could still outperform Gonzales. i don’t think he can.

Likely not interested...
I’m just not sure that adding him to the offense does much for us right now…
